Good morning, Kit,11/110/24
Good morning.
1 week post-op today.
Mikan's behaving a little more like herself, but the numbers are still stagnating.
I am hoping that we will see some progress this week - paws crossed.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
Hi Staci,Good morning, Kit,
I’m happy to hear Mikan is feeling better. I know it’s slow going for her to feel back to herself completely.
Hoping her BG will return to lower numbers soon. I’m sure it’s a slow process as she recovers.
Waiting is so hard.
Keep loving on her as I know you will. That’s the best medicine for her is Mom’s love
Wishing you a nice day and lots of love to your sweet baby![]()
Thanks Carla.I hope Mikan continues to feel like herself. Sending prayers.![]()
Thanks Diane!Morning Kit. it's so good to hear that Mikan is feeling more like herself. She's still healing so hopefully this week you will start to see lower numbers . She's just taking her sweet time![]()

Well those are good signs, Kit. Let's hope that the lower BG will follow. I bet there's inflammation which needs to subside and maybe any infection from the bad teeth in her body (now gone) and she will then recalibrate.Hi Staci,
Mikan's definitely feeling better. She's more social and responsive.
But her numbers are still not coming down
Hopefully, better BGs will follow her recovery.
It's nice to see bright eyed Mikan though!
Wishing you and Ivy a wonderful day![]()
Thanks Wendy for the post.Have you thought of increasing Mikan's dose? It's been 25 days since she last saw green. I expect some glucose toxicity has set in. The results from dental may lower her numbers soon. With Neko it took about 10 days. But I increased when her numbers went up due to the inflammation from surgery and took it back down when her numbers told me she was healing and she earned a reduction.
