Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! The CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE has been so popular that it is now part of the cheery cherry Monday line-up! as well as cheery cherry frappes! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I spent mine at home, with a few local hikes to add some outdoor time to a weekend full of chores and errands and general relaxation recovery time from a very busy week with the boys. We had all sorts of weather, from severe winds, to heavy rains to gorgeous sunny fall days. What a combo! Sunday was an outdoor day for me, at least in the morning. We never made it much above 45, it was for the most part a cloudy gray morning, but at least the rains had stopped. I made the decision to go on an early hike through the woods to the shore, in hopes of seeing more of the salmon run. Meadowdale's Lund's Gulch Creek meets the sound here at the shore, and is known for it's salmon runs. Yesterday I heard them in the tunnel portion of the creek, found them further upstream too. Sweet! So I stayed even longer to watch some of the run. WOOT! Salmon in the tiny tiny creek. It is quite the experience to watch these fish navigate, and return every year to this creek. YaHOO! And what a morning.... I did manage between the two weekend days to get the shores and errands and laundry and shopping done. What a relief, we are now ready to start out a new week. Well, I think we are....

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the kitties.... We have finally adjusted to the time change! dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat and they have stopped waking me up at 3AM. 4AM is bad enough, but that 3AM was wearing very thin.... I am so glad that they have finally figured it all out. Well done furkids! :-D  The day yesterday was a good one for all of them. Elsa went out some, napped too. Bug spent alot of time just watching the outdoors from a window perch, and seeking me out for lots of leg rubs and scritches. Some to think of it, Elsa did that too. Lola was... well... Lola. Lot of running here there and everywhere. She only knows one speed ya know: warp speed running. Alot of seeing what she could get into. Alot of "whatcha doing?" ALot of Lola.  I needed to do some plant maintenance: trimming dead leaves, trimming back stalks, leaves etc... of course I had a helper, who thought I was playing in her dirt. She never left my side, helping with all the trimming etc. It seems she thought that was an open invitation to help herself later on. I came back into the living room only to see her straddling the railing and stretching to the plant and munching on a few leaves. :o      How does she do that and not fall off that banister railing is beyond me. The read end was straddling the railing, holding on for dear life, while the front end was wrapped around the plant. of course, I was camera-less! :? YUPP (!!!!) Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your holiday, if you have it off. I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be. I may hike, if the weather holds. Paws crossed that it does.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Morning Michelle, wow on the salmon run. They look large, just looking at that first video. I watched the first two and will go back and check the others, too. I bet Nicholas will be thrilled to see them. Sounds cold there; wish I could send some of our warmth. We're having a late suummer or something. Heat on in the morning and a jacket and suntan lotion and 80's mid day here! :-D I meant to get one of those famous Nicholas mint chip Frappuccinos yesterday when I was out and about, but ended up with a straight coffee. Maybe today.
Elsa, thanks for my coffee and Bug and Lola, I'll take three Cherry cheery pizzas. Always need to think of my kind neighbors. So funny hearing about Lola's warp speed, as I have the same here with miniature Katie. She's discovered the bathtub and running water, oh no!
Have a great day, Michelle, and hope a hike is in the forecast.

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for visiting Rusty while I was at the wedding. I'm glad that you had a good weekend and that you got to see more of the salmon run. Wow on those videos! I find myself rooting like mad for those fish to make it. They are gorgeous. Do you know what kind of salmon they are?

Too much on Lola and the plants.

Have a good hike today in good weather.

Elsa, the espresso never tasted so good after a weekend of driving long distances and getting lost multiple times! THANK YOU! Kitteh Barista!

Ella & Rusty

Oh, Lola....you crazy girl! What a love for life and adventure that cat has - she takes after her MamaBean!!! That sure is a crazy range of weather you get there...I guess that always keeps you on your toes! ALl in all, it sounds like a wonderful weekend. And, it's awesome the kitties finally figured out the time change to boot...phew!!!

Have a great Monday, Michelle!

Sounds like a good weekend around there  Great pics!
And so much for plant maintenance
I think Lola thinks she does all the plant maintenance that needs to be done
What were you thinking playing with her plants
Have a nice day Michelle!

What a happy weekend for you. The salmon are so cool. I could really watch them for hours.

Oh my on Lola. Silly silly girl. It is amazing she doesn't fall.

Have a great day Michelle!!

Happy Cheery Cherry Monday back at ya!  You need to get one of the cameras that attach to Lola's collar to see just wht she gets up to, I've thought of that for Emma. But I'm sure it would get titched along w/ the 3 collars and the harness that are out there some where!

Cool on the salmon run, Yes Nicholas will be in 7th heaven. How long does the run last?

I'm glad you had a good weekend. That's so neat on the salmon run. Crazy Lola. That would have been a sight to see.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone has had a good day today, and for all of you lucky enough to have it off, hope that has been nice too. I headed out early this morning, to visit a lake up near Bellingham, about a hour from my house. It's a beautiful lake, one I have taken Nicholas to in the past. We will have to get back there. I have found a spot on that lake this is almost better than the spots we went to in the past. Lots of water access, sicks and stones and sections that are shallow enough he can go in if he wants. Plus: LOTS of ducks! I drove up there today with the most incredible sunrise: all sorts of colors. Of course I took lots of photos of that. I really do love being out at places like this when the sun rises. The lake hike was nice too. I did the main loop, but about 1/3 of the way around I decided to go "off trail" and hike a narrow path that hugged the lake's edge. That was great, as it opened up areas I had not truly seen before. Kinda fun too! I think that today I did just under five miles, not too bad. There was little elevation gain, maybe 300 feet, so the hike itself was an easy one. It will be great to take Nicholas back and see how he likes the new spots there. I will post the Picassa links in tomorrow's condo. Have a great evening everyone!

Hi Ann - How's little Miss Katie? Keeping you on your toes? How's that warp speed? :-D LOL on the bathtub and the sunning water. Lola LOVES that too - even the shower. often she will come in when I am there, walks around until the water hits her, then she gets the most puzzled look on her face.   . THX on the salmon video. Some of them are large - close to two feet long. Oh yes on Nicholas. I would like to take him, but haven't due to the distance involved: 2 miles in and a 500 feet climb. He probably could do it, but it would take forever. I may see if I can use the HCapped entrance, if I can get permission. LOL on the Nicholas Fraps! You should try one - they are good. Alot of sweet, but a tasty sweet.
Auntie ANN! You is SO WELCOMES! Lola and Bug have your pies already to go, in fact they sent them via special courier, so they can make some more for your neighbors. They is on their way. ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Ella - Oh yes on the salmon run, had to go and see if I could find some more. THX on the vid, and yes I root too. ALot of GO! It is painful sometimes when you see them work so hard make it up several hundred yards only to turn around and go back out. I have yet to figure that one out. Those ones are Chum Salmon. Out creek with get Coho and Chum, predominately Chum. Not too sure how tasty they rally are, but they are BIG. The creeks/rivers I have taken Nicholas to on HWY 2 get Pink and Chinook Salmon. I know on Lola and the plants.... my little helper. THX on today - the hike was a short one, but very nice, pretty there.
Auntie Ella - You are so welcomes! I heard you ah to drive LOTS and had trouble getting there so I made some extra Ethiopian for you. :-D ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Amy - Lola... Lola... Lola... what to do with one crazy girl. Today she helped me with the dust mop. I get things dust-mopped and she'd scatter them again.  I like this:
What a love for life and adventure that cat has - she takes after her MamaBean!!!
Kinda true! Oh yes on the weather - it has settle soem today - YAY! Yes too on the time change. I am elated! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hi Pam - THX,it was a good one. I enjoyed it: busy, yet relaxed at the same time. I know.... damn plant maintenance! I had my version, Lola had hers. Bug and Elsa stayed clear. After all - the nerve of me fixing what she spent days arranging! ;-)

Hi Melissa - THX, I did enjoy this weekend. Happy says it well. it was: salmon and visits from my boys, and crazy kitties! Me too on the salmon,. I did stand at the edge of that creek for the longest time and watch those fish. Incredible thing to see. love it there, but I think my fav is still Nicholas and William and my visit to the Skykomish where he could stand in that river, and those fish swam all around him. AWESOME! And yes on Lola: that railing isn't very wide = only an inch but she still walks and runs back and forth on it. NUTS!

Hi Ann - hey thanks: Cheery cherry monday rocks! Wouldn't that be the best? a kitty mounted camera. Pro soothing or other, can't remember what they are called. I'd just LOVE to see thing from her point of view, AND know just what she does all day long..... LOL on Emma and those harnesses and the collars - I so remember that. I suspect Lola would manage to ditch hrs too.  THX on the salmon run, I know Nicholas would LOVE it, as he did the one we went back too a few times In Index: he was in the river with those! Our run here can last a few weeks: anywhere from 11/1 to 12/15. It just defends on weather, and the strength of the run. This year they are early, 11/15 is more normal, but we have had the storms that we need to bring them in. So... things are looking good for a great run this year.

Hi Carla - THX, it was great - love weekends like those: relaxed, but things got done too, fun things. THX on the salmon run- it is really cool to watch. i know on Lola.... I just picked her off of the railing again....
