HAPPY MONDAY!
Sunny, chilly Monday here with temps in the upper 50's. Weatherman said we could expect flurries tomorrow afternoon. o. k. Not ready for snow or even flurries, but snow is rare here, so not really worried.
Hate to be so needy, but I'm back with another question. Some of y'all may recall the conversation I had with my vet when Hershey was first diagnosed. The one that left me in frustrated tears after she got her dander up when I questioned her and shared that we had an idea of how we wanted to go about treating questions...the one where she said we were 'on our own' if we did things the way I was describing...the one where she put me on hold and came back much nicer and friendlier...the one where I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt because maybe she just wasn't used to anyone not blinding doing whatever she said. Hershey has been back to the practice only once since is diagnosis and that was to have a urinalysis. I saw the vet in the lobby that day and she didn't speak. But, she was calling another patient in, so I tried not to take it personally.
Hershey is a pretty passive guy. He's the one that used to let Jessica play dress up with him. But, regularly the vet says something about him being hard to handle. When we took him to the ER Sat morning, the vet remarked how good he had done. :?: :?: So, he does better for the strange ER vet in a place he's never been to before? Doug thinks we should change doctors and is up for checking out a closer vet.
My question/dilemma/whatever - knowing Hershey needs dental...is this the time to use a new vet?
I read the information Sienne put in the sticky (Thank you!) - questions to ask. There are two vets near us. Went to their sites and one of them had information saying they do almost everything in the sticky. Shouldn't that make me feel better about checking them out?
OH!! And, I called our regular vet today to ask some questions - They said dental would require overnight stay for sure. BUT - they couldn't find our records...another straw in camel's back???
Thank you for visiting us today.
