So we are very new to the blue numbers after a switch to Young Again.

I’ve been wavering the last couple days on what the dose should be after we have switched. After 1.5 units this morning, he is down to 5.9 at 4+. I know it’s not hypo but the low numbers make me nervous

should I still with 1.5 or lower to 1 (or maybe 1.25) and then increase if needed.

Hi. I’m not sure why you didn’t stick with 2.5 as a reduction was not earned. Stick with 1.5 now that you are there. On a human meter normal is roughly 50-120. Do you have a hypo kit ready just in case? Make sure you always have hc food and karro or honey and plenty of test strips. Post your amps and all tests in your subject so that those of us scrolling will know if you need help. I also would print out the yellow sticky on handling low numbers. I used to read it over and over when I got nervous. It helped me so much. It’s nice to see blues!

He got 1.5u this morning and is down to 4.2. I worry that 2.5 is way too high. I worry about 1.5 as well. He ate high carb food at 1030am and he’s still that low. If I have him 2.5 I think he’d be hypo

Looks like it is too much but the higher depot is in play. To be safe take him down to 1.25 tonight. Give him some food now to keep him surfing over 68. See what the PMPS is before deciding on the dose.
