Update: Djoko has not eaten since 6pm (half a can). He has not slept and was vocal. He is on appetite stimulants so this is a bit concerning. Vet tech said they want to look at him carefully. They will probably want to keep him more. Wondering if he would not be more comfortable here at home.
I will bring him food and see if he will eat out of my hand. This is strange. He normally recovers quickly from pancreatitis flare up although this one seemed pretty intense. Wondering if it is no the liver that is acting funny. They will probably want to do ultrasound but not sure what it will tell us more. We already know he has chronic pancreatitis and IBD.
I hope he gets better. Not ready to let him go.

Oh Marj, I am sending prayers and positive thoughts. It could be an acute episode which can be intense and require more time and IV. Until they figure it out he’s better at the ER. Max was never hospitalized for more than a night for it but when he had surgery at 5 he was and they had to syringe feed him. When Tiffany was hospitalized more than once I visited and syringe fed her. They suggested a feeding tube but I was afraid and working long hours. I think if it were now I would consider it. All this to say go and try and get him to eat.
Keep us posted. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

will do.

so he has been discharged but the mass in his neck has become enormous and he is walking funny (wobbly). vet thinks it may be cancer spreading. they sent a slide to the pathologist and said results would come back early week but she said she was v concerned and kind of prepared me for this... I do not know if it is in his brain now but either he got a stroke or it metastatic cancer. it is hard...i feel like I have done everything I could and feel guilty to not have asked for a biopsy. 2 vet told me it was benign but maybe I should have checked. they do not think he is suffering now. He is not 100% himself yet but is brighter. Just to see him walk like that, his back legs r very weak and he is sliding. He was running 4 days ago so it seems unreal.
Sad day..thank you for your kind words.

Oh my. I didn’t see this earlier. I am so sorry. I wonder how dear Djoko is doing now. I have a soft spot in my heart for him. I pray he has improved. You must have been reeling with everything happening so fast. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
