Hellloooo, LL! Missed us?
No AMPS to report, since we are in the midst of an 18/18 cycle. We got home around 11 pm last night and Cinco got his shot at midnight, so his next one will be tonight at 6 pm, and then we'll be getting back to normal (whatever that is). Unfortunately, we were both brain dead last night and DH shot 1.0 instead of .75 ! So, I stayed up and got a +2, +4 and +6. I wouldn't have gotten the +6 if he hadn't dropped to 84 at the +4 after being at 201 at +2!
So I pulled a 24 hour day (actually 25, but who's counting?) @-) ). I got up to feed and medicate the kitties at about their usual time, tested Cinco and went btb. Between the two sessions, I got about 7 hours of sleep and I feel soooo much better! I love our NASCAR weekends, buy they involve a lot of fresh air and exercise and very little sleep.
We visiting Mark's grandmother and uncle in the care facility on Thursday evening, and Friday morning his aunt called to say his uncle had passed overnight (unexpectedly)! So in between race activities, Mark was running around visiting with cousins as they arrived from out of town, etc. There will be a memorial service at some time down the road and we hope to get back to AZ for it. It's been a tough couple of weeks for DH's family - lost his paternal aunt last week and his maternal uncle (by marriage) this weekend. His grandmother is hanging in there, but she's fading. His aunt is shell-shocked - glad her three sons all came right away.
The kitties did well with Kathy, our in-house sitter. She called me right before the National Anthem on Sunday to say Cinco had dropped to 68 at +4 from a PS of 240 and wanted to make sure she was doing the right things. (Good thing it was before the engines fired, or I wouldn't have heard the phone!) She was. She didn't hover and test as much as I would have, but all went well (just shows me how obsessive I am - as if that was news! ). He mostly surfed yellow while we were gone, as far as we know, since Kathy was unable to get a lot of between shot tests.
Sasha ate a big (for her) dinner of all cat food last night
and a smaller snack around 4 am. She had a more normal sized (for her lately) breakfast this morning. Kathy had been giving the Ondansetron, but I decided to try without it, and it seems it is no longer needed. HOWEVER, Chemo session #4 (the final one) is tomorrow, so we'll be starting all over again in a couple of days!
Sorry I didn't get to many condos while we were gone. We basically got up early, went to the track, got back to the hotel, showered and crashed each day. I'm going to be spending what's left of the day trying to get things back to normal around here, and will try to do some visiting tonight. Hope all is well with our LL family.
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM. bbl
