Not the AMPS I was hoping for... She started shaking her head and scratching her ears again, so I'll do another course of ear drops.
Thanks everyone for your kind words on previous postsdefinitely running a three-ring circus here!

Aw poor Chewie, and poor you. Lots on your plate. Have you ever tried getting a BG from a paw pad? I’ve read it’s an option although it would be a HARD NO for Herman so I guess it’s likely not up Chewie’s alley either. Just throwing that out there. Thanks! It's not easy to sneak in the drops between pokes either... she's so mad at me for always messing with her ears
I thought about it the other day, but there's a good chance that would cost me a finger haha.Aw poor Chewie, and poor you. Lots on your plate. Have you ever tried getting a BG from a paw pad? Thanks Cécile. I managed to put ear drops in at +2 instead of poking her, and I will just get a +3 BG instead.I hope Chewie gets back in blues and greens soon. Would she let you put ear drops just after testing? Bella hates that too.
I’m so discouraged and feel so powerless

I wonder if her ear issue has something to do with it? Is it fungal or just some kind of minor chronic thing? Many commiserations. This FD journey is quite the rollercoaster journey … and I hate rollercoasters. What the heck with 358 at PMPSI’m so discouraged and feel so powerless
It’s a chronic off and on thing that typically disappears for another year after a course of tresaderm. She has always been an oily cat (lifelong issues with sebum overproduction on her chin despite eating off stainless steel bowls etc.), but the past two years its really gone into overdrive. She grew a dozen little sebaceous cysts in two years - vets say they are benign and there’s nothing you can do about them. Sometimes I wonder if maybe that points to allergies? But she’s been eating that same turkey raw food for years and has done great on it all this time… it’s hard to tease out simple correlation/coincidence from causation…I wonder if her ear issue has something to do with it? Is it fungal or just some kind of minor chronic thing?
The question being, is she going to eat it… the food we are using is called Darwin’s Naturals and they ship to you in big quantities. For some reason my cats always snub raw food from the store - except for their beloved RadCat that doesn’t exist anymore.Tresaderm might also be impacting her numbers. It contains a steroid.
If you want to experiment with different proteins, I'd try lamb. Chicken is a more common allergen.
