I see a tiny weight gain, is that good for him?

He used to be about 14.1 pounds (6.4 Kg) before DX, and went as low as 9.7 (4.4 Kg).
I think pre DX that was a healthy weight for his breed and I'm happy he's gaining some back.
I still don't understand how he hasn't gained more, he's been in healthy numbers for about a month now and he usually eats probably 30% more than he would need but the scale barely moves.

How much are you feeding him compared to pre diabetes in calories? Did his food type change?

We never counted prior, he was free fed dry food and always had a healthy weight.
But now that he's on wet food, even after being regulated he's still hungry all the time.
For his current weight I believe he's supposed to have about 250 calories per day. Anything less than 400 and I honestly believe he'll strangle us while sleeping.
I see here other kitties SS having one poo every other day, Blue has 3 a day. That's even funnier since he's been DX he only used the litterbox at most 3 times and always goes right next to it.
