WCR: All Ps in place. Appy is still very iffy. Spent most of the day napping...window bed, my lap, ottoman, next to me, window bed, floor, etc. I decided to check her anal glands because that has a tendency to affect her appy and poo outcome. Got a little black-ish/dark grey liquid out of the right side and lighter brown liquid out of the left. Not too long after that, she left me a prezzie in the LB.
Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!
p.s. Marje, I just saw your comment about the Potassium sup. When I first started giving Shasta the supplement, I read the link you sent me from Tanya's website. Totally made me nervous...as it should. Since Shasta is next to impossible to get into the vet on any kind of "regular" basis for b/w, I decided to go super low on the dosage and not 7 days a week. I know that doesn't help the situation, but I couldn't risk her going hyperkalemic. Her gums seem fine and her skin is popping back into place just fine. I am going to try to schedule an appointment to get b/w done around Thanksgiving. Maybe we can find out what's going on, but I know that's a few weeks away. Thank you for checking in on us and having me check her hydration.
