Yesterday

Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty did another of his bedtime zooms (ghost-story time?) last night, but then jumped up on the bed and went to sleep. Pretty good AMPS this morning. It was 22 degrees at daybreak, but is now in the 30s. It may be the last sunny day. Rusty is curled up in his little bed by the radiator.
Now that I can drive again (it's almost 3 weeks since the surgery) I'm finally going to get my hair cut today. Hooray!! If the rain holds off I'll also walk around Mirror Lake (in Lake Placid). And Edward and I want to do some more leaf raking.

I love Rusty's bedtime zooms. What's going on there Rusty? Ghosty stories, or maybe you borrowed Spot's zippy-pants. It is a good start for you today. Off to the lagoon maybe?

Wow on that 22 degrees. I guess winter really is coming... Nice though that it has warmed up some, and I hope the rains stay away, long enough for you to get in that walk. It has to be pretty there at Mirror Lake. Enjoy the time!

I'm pretty sure that leaf raking needs at least 4 weeks. And didn't I see a headline that you shouldn't rake leaves anyway? Trying to help you out... Good work, Rusty!

If you're gonna rake leaves, makes sure you get to enjoy the pile a little bit in the process. One is never too old, or too busy, or too tired to play in leaves. It's a steadfast rule ya know

I can't tell you how many pairs of glasses I broke diving into piles of leaves!

As it turned out, Edward did all the leaf raking because I was getting my hair cut in Lake Placid and then walked around Mirror Lake (a nice 3-mile loop on a sidewalk that has the names and elevation of each of the 46 High Peaks on engraved placques). When I got home the leaves had been raked and put into the compost piles.
Rusty went outdoors briefly at lunch time and sat for a while under the bird feeders (chipmunks like to climb up on the bird feeders, and, as we know, Rusty is a rodent man).

Nice low-blue rest day so far for the LagoonMeister.
