Yesterday's Condo

Good Morning, everyone! :)

Whew. Much better AMPS today. I should be getting my strips today, I think - sometime between 1pm - 4:30pm is when the mail usually shows up. 200 strips + the eight or nine I have now. We're all good.

Both Mom and I are keeping an eye on Rufus' left front paw. It looks... longer than the other when he steps down. Almost like a furry clown shoe. I suppose it may always have looked that way, but Mom thought she noticed some limping last night. ohmygod_smile. We'll see.

hooray for better amps!

i'm curious about the clown paw...do you suspect neuropathy? or is it something else that i havent picked up on in your condo?

Bee, I'm so glad to see that yellow AMPS this morning! Good to hear about the test strips...I know how nervous it makes me when I'm low on strips, I hate that feeling! nailbite_smile I'm hoping to see a return to those beautiful numbers you were seeing not so long ago!

Hmm on the paw...will he let you get a good look at it? I know it's a struggle to look at Tinkles' paw, he hates them being touched. I definitely need help for that!

Oh boy... our usual lowest point of the day is an ugly 316. Granted, I did have to fight with him to come out of an upstairs closet in order to test him. (He wasn't happy about that).

More worry over the paw - he's holding it delicately when he rests. He's a very stoic cat, and usually doesn't allow his pain to be known until it is waaaay late in the game (helpful, isn't it? ), so he's not favoring it when I watch him walk, but he holds it up to his chest when he sits upright... that, and he sat next to John-Finn on the ottoman a few minutes ago without even considering attacking him. That may sound nice, but it doesn't have very good implications.

Maybe our neighbor can come take a look (She's the one who suggested he might have diabetes, actually) and see if she thinks it's not just my imagination absconding with my good sense! I certainly hope it's not a Neuropathy, or a fracture of some sort. With any luck he just stepped on something (like a hornet. Yeah. Those infamous Winter Hornets. :? ).
