Good morning,
Yesterday's condo
11/9 AMPS=115; +2=139; +4=178
11/9 PMPS=130; +2=106; +4=140
11/10 AMPS=139; +2.25=155; +5.5=167; +10.25=162
11/10 PMPS=135; +1=117; +2=106; +4=113; +7.5=160
I have a good report and a not-so-good report.
The good news is that she deposited a normal poo, good size and solid.
The not-so-good report is that her appetite is off.
Her appetite seems to be declining since the vet visit a week ago.
This might be her typical "delayed response" to stress, as we had a stressful week last week.
Otherwise, she seems to be fine, a little sleepy but looks comfortable.
I've been trying to find probiotic that works for both Lucy and I.
Probiotic does help with her diarrhea, but it's not easy because Lucy doesn't like the taste.
If I can find probiotic she enjoys, I'd like to give to her even when she doesn't have diarrhea to help her tummy.
* Fortiflora: She's OK with it if her appetite is more than good. But whenever her appetite is less than optimal, it makes her not want to eat her food, and I have to use some fishy food.
* ReNew Ulticare: Same as Fortiflora.
* Perls: She spits if not wrapped in fish.
Yesterday, I found organic goat milk kefir at the petfood store.
When I told them I was looking for a good probiotic for cats that has nothing else added to it, she recommended the goat milk kefir to me.
(Other pet probiotic products had enzyme or flavoring added to them.).
She said it's the basic form of probiotic.
When I told her I was uncomfortable about milk products because of lactose, she said I shouldn't have to worry about it since goat milk has much less lactose than cow milk (suitable for people with lactose intolerance), and the culturing (fermenting?) process make the lactose even less.
I bought a jar since it was only $4, but haven't tried it yet.
I wanted to ask if anyone has tried this type of products or has any opinion about it.
If it's OK to give to Lucy, and it she likes it, it will be a solution to adding probiotic regularly in her diet, since Lucy seems to have problem sustaining good bacteria in her tummy.
I'd really appreciate any thoughts/suggestion you could give to me!!
Thank you!
