It looks like the pain meds wore off a bit because he's hungry but not really wanting to eat and turned his nose up at the mixed grill even though I watered it down. He's eaten some baby food ham and then some Friskies Salmon pate which he couldn't resist.

Here is hoping that all kitties have a good day with a slow slide and not scaring their momma and papa beans.
 
Did the vet give you any more pain meds? I hope LT will continue to eat something for you today. Sending prayers for his recovery.

Thank you for your prayers. No, they didn’t give more pain meds and I asked about it. Obviously the 24 hour one didn’t last and he didn’t eat much today. He’s eating a few licks at a time of the baby food, but no solid pate. I’m leaving everything out.
 
LT has been grazing on some pate, but it doesn't seem like he's had enough to raise his BG. Do you think the pain could be causing his BG to go up? His BGs last night were as usual.

Yes, he should be on pain meds. Pain and inflammation can cause the numbers to go up. After Neko's extraction (and the bony growth on her jaw removed :eek:), numbers went up with inflammation, so I increased, and came back 7-10 days later as the inflammation went down.
 
@Wendy&Neko , after lots of pestering, I got a pain med for LT. He eats in 2.5 hours, so hopefully it will take effect by then and also give him some comfort. Just wanted you to know since you were helping get me through the day.
