Last Night:
213 PMPS
211 +11
I selfishly slept last night, and did not test.

Neither J.D. nor Ginger were interested in eating their breffises this morning, yet.

In about an hour, I take J.D. to the vet to get his Health Certificate. Ginger will get an exam, too.
3 days off, then 4 days of tbp, then 2 weeks of vacation

Thanks Sienne for the BP Link, last night.

ETA: I finally got the past year's anyway of 5? blood work tests added to a tab called Total Health Plus on J.D.'s ss.

Good luck at the vet  Hope you have a good day,

We were a month early for the appointment according to their records  they had us down for December 10th.
The receptionists admitted that it was their error, since I needed the Health Certificate as we are leaving next Sunday, and since I spend boocoo bucks there, they fit us in and we saw a different vet as our regular vet (who we had the appointment with) was off today. Both kitties are good, and got all their nails clipped.

I always ask for a letter from the vet stating that I need to take insulin and syringes on the plane with me, so we got that and the Health Certificate. The vet we saw today said J.D. is not skinny, it's just the process of aging (and gravity she always says) that makes the muscles on the back drop and the spine be more prominent.

J.D. went right to his food bowl and ate hungrily when we got home, cleaned all the bowls, and asked for more.

:-D I am looking forward to vacation, it's just the long travel that gets to me. Thanks for looking at his bloodwork.

I'm glad everything went well at the vet today and they were able to work you in. That's great J.D. ate well when you got back home.

Re: 11/10 J.D. AMPS 238, +3 261, +4.5 179

J.D. has been scarfing down food since we got back from the vet. I added a bit of coconut oil to his food to fatten him up, and he liked it

On some not so good news: On our way to the vet, I saw a squirrel laying prone in the grass in front of where my car is parked, and went to investigate and saw that it was partially eaten and wondered what had been eating it, and hoped it wasn't Mama (or Fatty or Baby).
When we got home from the vet a huge hawk was eating the squirrel, and flew off when my cats came bounding out of the car. I guess it was a red tail, because it was pretty big. I've had them perched on my deck railing before hoping to get a song bird eating from my bird feeder, and I always am amazed how they fly away when I yell at them to get lost, even when they are far up in the top of a tree.
But the good news is: A few minutes ago, I saw a squirrel at the other end of the courtyard and I called "Mama" and she came running, so she is okay, and two other squirrels came after her, and they all got peanuts. I think one of the other squirrels was Fatty, but it's so hard to tell them apart right now, as Baby has grown up and gotten fat and Mama is a lot fatter, too. I just know I always know Mama because she's the only one who takes two whole peanuts (with shells) into her mouth at a time. Baby never learned to be afraid of humans and I know him because he'll run right up to the toes of my shoes (but none of the three squirrels did that), so I hope Baby is okay somewhere. Usually the three of them hang out together.

J.D. is in a good mood, and wandering in and out of the house, and making those little cat-talk-to-each-other noises. Sometimes I think he's gotten into the mirtz when he's chatty as he's always been such a quite cat. Didn't even learn to say Meow until he was like 8 years old. Right now he's investigating a closet I'm cleaning out  being very active.

Hi Dyana

Glad J.D. had a good check up at the Vet. Good thing you keep your own schedule for Vet appointments. We do also. He sounds to be enjoying his day and eating well. I hope you have sighting of Baby soon. It sounds like you have a regular extended squirrel family there.

Thank you for all of your help with PurrFace these past weeks. We really do appreciate it.

Have a great day and enjoy your vacation.

He is such a bouncey boy! What a great day he had even with a vetty visit. Glad to hear both are doing well and yay for vacations - you must really need them if you slept through  hope you have a fabulous time
