That number (210) is more what I'm used to. Of course, it was somewhat artificially induced by the HC and LC last night, but I'll take it. I'm sticking to the 0.25 as per Sienne's advice, but I'll leave food for him. His left eye is looking a tad suspicious (he has always had the herpes virus that pops up now and then as a goopy eye). Not goopy yet, but squinting just the tiniest bit. I'll need to keep an eye on it.

Oh, dear...

Just heard a couple of sneezes from Chester and I need to revise my evaluation of his eye. There definitely was some goop just now. I gave him a couple drops of the Gentamicin that usually clears it up relatively quickly. No clue what this will do to the BG, but it's pretty common for him.

J.D. often has clear fluid tears from one eye. I guess I should do a search on herpes virus. The vet says it's nothing serious, whatever it is.

Chester had really nice string of numbers yesterday. Today isn't so bad, as you sd, given that he had some yummy HC yesterday.

This isn't clear liquid, it's more like "sleep" that people get...goopy. He's had it maybe 50+ times in his 10 year career. Just hope it doesn't throw his BG for a loop.

A nice low yellow for chester .. hopefully the medicine doesn't make his BG's go for a crazy ride, but if they do at least you would know the reasoning behind it ... have a great day guys!

Poor Chester I hope he is feeling better.
I don't know anything about that medicine but like Devon said if his bg's go up at least you know the reason why.

The eye looks fine tonight, although I'll keep treating him for it for awhile. However, Chester just doesn't seem quite "right" tonight. Not as playful (still playing, just not like usual). Seems a bit lethargic, but nothing I could really put my finger on. I anticipated him being way high because of the way he looks, but he was only 190.
