Happy Caturday and happy, happy 20th birthday to JD!!! Sending many healing vines to Shylo and all others who need them.

Although Uncle Carl continues to look on the bright side of Gracie's relationship with Lupita (e.g. no claws when she swats Lupita), I have to wonder if the hostility is escalating :lol: :lol: :lol: The good thing is I know Gracie will never swat her with her claws out. She's been a very lovey, purry, cuddly girl today. It was a very cool morning so after T/F/S, she headed back to bed and I thought "why not" so I joined her. And then Tobey joined us. I didn't really nap, I just cuddled and she purred some more. Love that quiet time with them. But then it was +2 breffis time and Tobey particularly enjoyed his time in the LB so it was a happy crap dash all around the house :lol: :lol: :lol:

We are puzzled by these ugly numbers from nowhere. She looked better on less insulin. Wish I had a dime for every time I've said that.

Had a blast at the party last night and Gracie's numbers let me stay out. Luckily, our closest friends live within a mile so it's easy to go back and forth for testing/feeding. However, when I finally got home for the evening, I was greeted by this:



I think their patience was running thin on being alone. Bad news for them for tonight because it's a close friend's surprise birthday/5 years cancer free party so I'll be gone for a bit although I just plan to go for an hour.

"Mom, I told Gracie she shouldn't be up on the table and then I jumped up here to chase her off, and look what happened my feets got stuck in the chair and Gracie just laughed at me and went back to sleep and....thank goodness you got home to rescue me!!!"

I have known Gracie since she was a kitten, and I can assure you that she's the guilt party! Has Marje told you about the ceiling fan?

I'm not sure if I have spilled the beans on the ceiling fan story, Mary :oops: :oops: :oops: But...in four years, maybe I did! :razz: :razz:

When Gracie was a kitten....probably five or six months old, we had moved the tall condo on the catio into the center of the catio because it was raining and we don't like it to get wet. Not thinking as a cat would (BIG MISTAKE), we put the condo right under the ceiling fan....which was, thankfully, off. Mike was in the library doing something so he could see Gracie on the condo. All of a sudden, she jumped from the top of the condo and grabbed onto one of the fan blades on the ceiling fan. The weight of her little kitten shubby (read "chubby") body, caused the fan blade to slowly move around and when it got over the couch, she let go. We could almost imagine her saying bonsaiiiiii!!!!!!! as she dropped almost 12 make that 9 feet (I was thinking about the ceilings in the house which are higher than the ceiling in the catio) from the fan to the sofa, landing ever so softly. Mike went racing out to check on her while she was quickly scrambling up the condo to do it again :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

LBG's antics have not lessened.

And, BTW, now when it rains, the condo does not go right under the ceiling fan.

Note to Lupita - if you happen to need to clean that fan at some time, make sure to check that Gracie is nowhere near the switch on the wall...

Looks like Gracie is giving you more than just an hour. How nice of her. Max actually let me go to a late lunch and happy hour on Thursday. I didn't make any plans for tonight based upon the last few days. My mistake. I hope you are having fun.

LPMS? Must be a condo talking about Lupita. :lol: Love the fan story - that sounds like such a great kitty toy. NOT! Hope you had fun tonight.
