SRT rebound=the cyclical response to radiation wherein cells, which are not all reproducing or trying to at the same time, are on and off; i.e. dying or as you call them "neutered" cells don't produce IGF-1 but those that are on a differential cycle are trying to reproduce or are rerproducing and therefore also producing IGF-1. I mean look at his numbers today! They are crazy in comparison with numbers awhile back. Best way I can describe it.

So, today at IM vet: we looked very closely at Eddie's SS, which made me happy because the vet could see what happened after Eddie started the antibiotics and how he was in such good numbers for that week and beyond. So, we decided that rather than wait the full 3 weeks (7 on, 3 off) we would start the antibiotics again, now, to see if they made any difference, which would link some of the high BG to the dental issue, without much doubt. If nothing happens with this next round, we will try Cabergoline.
 
It’ll be interesting to see if there’s a similar response in BG after starting antibiotics again.

Did the vet pull a urine sample while there? Thought maybe it was a good idea to run a C&S to rule out a UTI since you were there anyway (maybe it’s possible the antibiotics knocked back a UTI last time??).

I was thinking last night that it would be useful to mark in the Remarks on the spreadsheet both the days you start the antibiotic and when you stop it. Nice to see the spreadsheet coming in handy at the vet visit. :) There is also a possible relation to higher numbers and IAA. Antibodies seem to thrive on high numbers. I remember Sandy's Black Kitty's spreadsheet - getting his teeth fixed (more than once), made a world of difference.

Hopefully, we'll see a difference with the antibiotics, first of all. And equally hopefully, dental in the spring (once I can again travel the Coquihalla and the Connector).

No, we had mainly visuals and a good discussion of how the spreadsheet might speak to the issue of dental inflammation.
