Blue ended up having to be mildly sedated and it was determined that whatever he did this morning resulted in the claw being separated from the quick. Ouch!

The vet was fantastic. I noticed she took a x-ray of his foot to ensure there were not fractures and she charged me zero. Anyway, he got an injection of Covenia and his claw/quick problem addressed. We came home and he had a little snack already.

I should also mention that while I was on a Zoom meeting this morning, I saw that Blue had overgroomed that callousy thing he has on his hock and when I looked away from the screen saw there was blood all over the place. I quickly got off the meeting and stopped the bleeding (it bleeds copiously), wrapped it in the Manuka honey and stretch wrap and now he has two foot/leg issues today. '

What a day. I hear there was another eclipse.
