Re: 11/04 Buddy AMPS 361

hi there

just catching up to you here, hope it goes well with the new juice when you get it.
2 quick questions, curve this weekend? maybe?

also, according to your profile info on food:

Amount fed per meal: about 6.5 oz, + 1.5 oz 1.5hours later, 1oz kitty pop
Number of meals/day: 6

is this still the same? do you spread out the meals when you can?

thanks! will check back on you later!

Ok, I know someone is going to give me grief about the no PMPS number. Seriously, there are days, he will not bleed. I've been through this. He's been crazier for food when I get home, and the crazier he is, the less he wants to bleed. He's been so high lately, I shot anyway. Don't like shooting blind. Hopefully after he calms down (with a full belly) he will bleed for me. His pee volume has been increasing, his hunger has been increasing, his coat is looking better and I'll try to weigh him soon but he looks/feels like he's gaining weight. He just had about 10oz Evo 95% for dinner and he's looking for more. Yeah, I do believe the insulin is junk at this point, will hopefully have new Solostar Pens for PM Saturday - when I'll be home to monitor anyway. Don't know where the insulin lost activity and I am nervous the 0.75 on a new vial may be too much. So hawk eyes this weekend.

Ronnie, I'll get his profile updated when I get a chance, but he is eating quite a bit more these days. Upwards of 30oz a day spaced out. 2 big meals breakfast/dinner cause I need to keep him busy to inject - he eats so fast he gets more just to keep him occupied. . .

thanks for the info Tony.

I do understand the need to eat a lot, ... we went thru up to 3 cans (5.5oz each) a day with Luna, he gained his weight back, and gradually the hunger came down as numbers and the physical symptoms got better.
Definite spot checks (when you can get them) when you begin a new vial. New insulin tends to pack a punch.
Good luck!

Oh, and I am planning to curve on Sunday, even though it is "soon" for the new insulin.
It's nice to meet you Ronnie. Thanks for not giving me crap about the PMPS tonight. Will be checking soon. I think the stress of him wanting food constricts the blood vessels too much. I got home 30 min late yesterday and today, so that's not good for him.
Finally next Thursday is my last day with 2 hour commute, so life will get easier very soon, just gotta hold on till then.

Tony

Maybe he will be better in a little while if you can try to test him. Is he eating everything in your feeder during the day?
I am so looking forward to seeing what he does with the new juice. Hope you have a good night Tony!

Re: 11/04 Buddy AMPS 361 PMPS no blood +3 298

The ears are so not wanting to bleed for me tonight, but I got enough for the "MIcro". I am looking forward to the new juice as well. Found a less expensive source that I trust. Not a huge discount, but not bad. . . . Still waiting on the Vet to call it in though.

I need to rule out bad insulin at this point. He really has seemed better, although he is eating up a storm still - 30+oz wet a day. Thank god for Janet and Binky's pages so that I can supplement the Evo with some 9lives - or else I would really be going broke. Oh, and he always finishes everything in the feeder dishes. Here's a quick breakdown of the food, I'll work on updating the profile tomorrow.

6am with AMPS and shot ~ 6oz Evo (sometimes more if he asks for it - don't want him hungry, but don't want to waste either)
8am snack ~ 4 oz 9 lives
11am snack - 2.75 oz 9 lives
4pm snack - 2.75 oz 9 lives
6pm dinner with PMPS and shot 6-10 oz Evo (tonight he ate 10oz)
8pm snack couple tsps 9 lives
10pm - 11pm depending on my bedtime about 4 oz 9 lives
2am - 2.5 oz Evo
4am - 2.5 oz Evo

Well, off to make kitty pops
Good night all,
Tony
