Work day...no numbers until PMPS. Fustercluck at work, didn't get home until 45 minutes after PM shot due. Won't be home to walk it back. Her BG at +12.75 is 329. What to do?
Made a call and shot 2.25. Now, I have to figure out what to do in the morning, which will be 11 hours after tonight's shot. I know it depends on what the number is but I will check at +10 from now.
+9 238. I have to leave at just shy of +11. She cleaned up all of her food last night. What to do?

You might want to tag one of the members who advise on insulin dosages. I had a half an hour late shot months ago and cant remember the advice but i think bhooma and tiffmaxee advised me. Good luck, sorry it was a bummer day

If you can't delay the AM shot even by 15-20 mins, just shoot at your usual time. Hope tomorrow is a better day

Sorry, didn't see this last night. When you say just shoot at your usual time, do you mean as late as I possibly can, this morning, which is a little short of +11 from last night? She's at 238@+9, would have to shoot at +11. I can then walk it back to totally normal time by Monday AM.

Yes. If the only option is to shoot at +11, then go for it. If you can shoot later, say +11.5, nothing like it. But if you can't then you have to do what you've got to do!

No, she did not. She did clean up her snacks during the night, the last of which would have opened at +5.5 and closed at +7. She got nothing when I tested at +9. I guess since her numbers aren't low, I don't have to panic so much. I knew I would be adjusting last night but things had to work out perfectly to get adjusted right...they didn't work perfectly. The only thing worse would have been if my power hadn't come back on by the time I got home and she was low. It was out most of the day. testing and shooting in the dark, by flashlight, would not have been fun.
