I felt he was due a dose increase considering any pain he has been having and other health issues...I was seeing too many high yellow's for my taste. New dose-0.5u and so far I am pleased that he has at least come down from his AMPS.
Overall health update--last night started with him not accepting his PM flovent treatment, which meant something was wrong. He was also keeping one eye shut. There is a long story that goes along with the Flovent and his eyes being affected (cloudy/milky and painful). This morning we was not doing well. Eyes messed up again, except they don't appear to be cloudy...he just won't open them and they are runny. He didn't move to get breakfast, but did take his treats after testing his sugar. He did later eat when I brought the food to him, but threw up a few minutes later. I think he ate too fast- he was hungry and I haven't seen him eat all his food that fast before.
Here is a long story that I posted on Facebook. It's more of a way to get things off my chest.
Today I’m finding it hard to find the strength to put a smile on my face. Some prayers of strength and healing would be a blessing.
Webber has something going on (again) and at this point I just don’t know what to do anymore. I cannot continue to beat myself up and cry in defeat when in reality he cannot be fixed.
Did I cause this latest issue with his eyes? I don’t know, and the mere thought that I could be the culprit of his pain just breaks my heart.
I’m so close to abandoning all other treatments and sticking with his asthma meds and insulin. ——The antibiotic is for “in case” there was an underlying infection (which I truly believe at this point he simply has asthma) and the cyclosporine is to help wean him off of the oral prednisolone (which now that he is on insulin I don’t feel so bad continuing to use, considering his Flovent inhaler seems to be causing repeated issues with his eyes)
He’s 12 years old and has lived a blessed life. He should not suffer at the hands of his owner who has been running in circles making every attempt to try and fix him, including pilling and masking him repeatedly each and every day.
I think both he and I would be happier with just his steroids, his arthritis injections once a month and insulin.
Currently he lying in a box and will not open his eyes. He’s agitated so trying to put antibiotic ointment in his eyes is out of the question.
For now I have thrown my hands up in defeat and whatever will be, will be.
PS- I would take him to the vet but he is a terrible patient. He lashes out and bites, therefore always has to be boxed, which also causes eyes issues. If worse comes to worse I will take him in.

If this bout doesn't clear up I will probably take him to an ophthalmologist to be sure there isn't something worse going on.
