Tray, what are we going to do with you? Im sure your stressed at strangers in your house, but don't you know you are safe?? Come on down now .... have a great day guys!
 
My cats HATE NOISE, Workmen, & banging!! Moonie's numbers go up immediately--Hope Tray comes down for you--Have a good day!
 
If the numbers are due to strangers, banging, etc., is there a way to sequester Tray somewhere that's acceptable to him where you can maybe plug in a Feliway atomizer, turn on some quiet music/radio/TV so he'll feel more secure?

He is sequestered in his room (the spare bedroom). I haven't tried a radio but I don't know if that will help since the minute he hears the doorbell he begins to shake. Such a baby! Funny because if it's my parents or my sister or best friend he doesn't react, he knows when its family and when it isn't before the door is even opened.
 
Blackie's up there with Tray this morning. I hope they both come down today. That's cute that Tray knows who is at the door. How much longer will your kitchen remodel take? I bet you're looking forward to it.
 
Maybe you could try leaving a tv on for him this is what I did with a girl that used to be so afraid of noise and I also used a feliway plug in like Sienne suggested does rescue remedy affect cat numbers does anyone know?? this is something that has helped my show cats to not be as afraid you put a couple of drops in water each day but I have no idea how this product and FD hope Trays numbers get better soon for you
 
Poor Tray....my Sid hates intruders too.....I'm still using the Feliway since the move and have bought refills. Hope Tray starts coming down for you.
 
Tray, come on down there buddy. Kitties are such creatures of habit, anything startles them. I am sure he will get used to the renovation noise somewhat and you got some great advice here from Sienne for setting up comfy shop for him :)

Iorwen, I bet you're right, the pinks are probably from the remodel going on. The suggestions others have given make sense to me. I have a kitty who is very nervous, she hides for hours after the doorbell rings, some kitties are more bothered than others I guess. I hope the remodel goes smoothly and things get back to normal soon! Have a good day.
 
Poor Tray! I hope he gets used to people being in and out! Emma gets stressed out when I have stuff done around the house too. Music does help her, so maybe that's worth a try. I hope it gets better!
