First off, I may change what AMPS are when I get home, I had a lot of trouble this morning getting the number memorized in my head. Buddy is eating more and more everyday. I don't know if this is because of habit, or not enough insulin or insulin going bad or too much insulin. He is seeing high numbers all the time. My guess is the insulin is crapping out on me and I'm working my ass off to get my hands on more, hopefully will have 5 pens by Friday. Still so wished the vet knew about pens and the advantages. . .

The girlfriend said he woke her up around 12 and purred and laid down for a bit with her (she was tossing in bed so she slept on the couch).

Pooping
Preening
Purring - with the GF, not with me.

It can sometimes take a long string of high numbers before the break, where you start seeing lower numbers much more frequently .. at any rate, I hope you can get some new lantus and that does the job for you guys, I know these numbers are frustrating ... try and have a great day ok?

Thanks for the words of encouragement. So frustrated right now. I'm working so hard and getting no results. I'm worried that he's getting more and more damage from unmanaged diabetes like renal damage.
Oh, on a positive note, he graced me with another chance to get a pee sample - ketones still negative. On this front, I purchased a fairly large plastic bin that I will be cutting and using for a litter box to keep the pee in when he stands up. Also, I'm hoping the more enclosed nature will attract him to use it for pooing instead of corners in the house. . . .

Buddy has been more crazy for food, topping 30oz a day now. . . .

I have to assume it's bad insulin. Too bad the 75% off coupon is worthless. My mother works in a nursing home and she's going to check with their pharmacy, but I'm probably gonna have to put this on the credit card and hope I can pay it off at the end of the month $198 at target. Will NOT be buying a vial ever again. Waste of money.

Sorry for venting anger here, wild goose chase trying to get that price check at CVS when I don't have the time. . . .
