11/02 Nelli PMPS 82 *FS

Thanks Rosie. I’d like to minimize to five max...
AMPS, +2. PMPS +2 and a mid day... maybe a before bed? The mid day Nadir is what has been tough. I’d like to test it spot on but a +4 or a +5 or even a +6 might be when I should be testing so therefore I find myself testing at least two of these? What to do :bookworm:?
Maybe you can try getting the mid day test at different times for a little bit to see if you can catch when Nelli's nadir is. Of course, sometimes the nadir moves around.
I understand... test, feed & shoot are suppose to all be done in this order and within 15 minutes. What if I tested and fed then did not shoot until 30 minutes later? What (might?) this cause o_O?
The concern is the numbers can change if you wait 30 minutes to give insulin after testing. If Nelli's numbers dropped a lot within the 30 minutes, you wouldn't know and you'd be shooting a lower number.
Nelli is looking good. :D

Thanks Carla... I feel ok now. Nelli has not been “moving fast” or swinging for quite awhile now-
What happened was she was driving me crazy hungry so I decided to do the test and feed but not shoot yet. Would have been about an hour and 10 minutes early.
Thanks for your insight :-)!
I hope you and Furball have a great day today :bighug:

While (tryingo_O) to study and see... her SS regarding nadir time, looks like its +4ish.
Good idea...
Like today I’ll test, let’s say a +5, tomorrow, +6 and then a +4 on Sunday. Sounds like a good plan!
I just need to pick a med test time and stick with it!

It’s probably very important for me to be getting mid cycle test because I may be missing an under 50 qualifying her for a reduction?
We determine how to dose a cat based on how low they get. So trying to test as close to the nadir as possible is ideal. Of course, Nelli could just be one of those cats that likes to earn reductions by going a week in solid green. :D

Nice numbers, Nelli!

In the morning if she is really making you crazy for food 1 hour before, you could try just giving her a tsp or so of food to just appease her some. That way the lag in shot time won't be on a big volume of food to let the numbers get to far ahead of you.

She is looking so good!

Thanks Wendy well if this is the case she’s got about five months until she can reach remission. I better get back to testing around those nadirs and hopes that a lime green will show up :). It’s not me that is troubled by all the pokes it’s that poor little baby girl!
