Good Tuesday Morning Everyone ~O)

Had this all typed out and dang if the "pooter" didn't EAT IT AGAIN. Whichever finger did it is getting in big trouble. No time to explain it all again now, gotta go.

Gandolf will be alone for several hours today so hope his bounce settles a bit before I go.

And like I "said" (B4 "pooter" ATE IT) - We wish all our LL buddies a successful day today - that when the dust settles, you're still standing! Hang in there and thanks to everyone too for helping that happen.

Your +1 is ordinarily higher than your pre-shot. Your +2 would be about the same number as your pre-shot. When you see lower numbers before or by +2, it's an active cycle. You need to either test or make sure you've left plenty of food out.

OK. I take it an "active cycle" is desirable. He didn't eat till I pulled out the "TUNA". That was after +1. He finally ate and he's eating now +3 with a gusto appetite. Only LC. Yay! So maybe that explains the low +1 and will help slow +3. I'll fill his "Pistol" (5-feeder) with ammo (LC) and hope he shoots straight today. He'll probably do a better job than me. I'm leaning on prayer and his beastly survival instinct.

I have oodles of presentation paperwork to printout and get ready for today and so "pooter" and "mind" need to TOTALLY focus on project (lost alot of that time yesterday but we did good!), so sorry, but will try to post before I pull out. That is early afternoon. So I CAN WATCH for a couple of hours. Nice. So sorry to sound flurried, but big appointment and operating with minimal time. Really don't mean to be rude. Wish me the best!

Whoa! Here we go. He tested at 51 at +4! This is a roller coaster drop or so it feels to beanie here. He's eating with an appetite and I gave him a full 1/3 can of LC. (make that 1/2 - he asked for more -thought more might help slow him down) Will test in 15 mins. This is good...very very good!

Nice +4! That low +1.5 was a clue that it was coming, see? Sienne likes the +2s, and I do too, that is usually a really good indicator of what is coming! Good job, Cee! Good luck with the presentation too! (Cats! They just know when we have something to do, and they love to throw a monkey wrench in it!)

He tested at 43...he looks fine, is enjoying the sunshine......time for carbs right! Just a 1/2 tsp.maybe?
 
You can give a couple of tsp of the HC at this point, Cee. Give him a little more to bring him up, don't worry about going easy on it now...he earned the decrease.

If that's a dry treat, it may not get into his system quick enough...give him some of the wet HC gravy.

Cee, if you need to leave soon, you will need to leave some higher carb food out for Gandy...either some MC or HC food, or some LC with HC gravy on it. He was rising a little, but the gravy won't keep him up for long.

Any updates?
 
Tested at 44 so rise is due to food obviously so gave more kitty treats. They're working and he gobbles 'em up. They're soft. Also, put canned HC 1/3 c in his 2:30 feeding. Do you think that's too much HC? Just thinking because I'm not here I'd rather he have high numbers than low and continue dropping. How does this beanie logic sound? I have to leave in 20 minutes max. I'm stretching it even now :shock: But we're powered up for this day. TYJ!...and y'all ;-)

That sounds like a good plan, Cee! That's fine, the 1/3c of HC, he got a good boost from that the other day, and it is better for him to be high while you are out! I would give him just another tsp or two of HC before you go out the door, to hold him til 2:30.

Tested 44 so holding. Last test b4 I go. Did give him a few more treats and food will be out soon.

I know you're already gone, Cee....I really would have liked to see that number rising before leaving....not sure those treats are doing enough. We really want him out of the 40s....
