I tested twice to make sure that's a valid number for AMPS. Too low to shoot and stalling along with moving the shot schedule to accommodate DST on Saturday is too complicated. I don't like having a second NS so soon after the one on 03 Mar PM but that's life ...

My analysis:
  • his BGs have been more erratic since that 03 Mar no shot. Doesn't take much to get this boy scrambled!
  • there appear to have been many "mini bounces" during this period
  • he was at a big bounce number last night at PMPS when I decided to increase his dose very slightly thinking that 2.75 u isn't quite enough
  • his 80 point drop by +2 last night should have been a clue that there was activity ahead but I thought that he was high enough that it wouldn't be dramatic - wrong!
  • I should have set an alarm for a +6 or +7 test
  • this tells me to watch for a prolonged period of wonkiness after I've skipped a dose. He's easily disrupted and takes a long time to settle. Changing doses during that time is risky.
I'll go back to 2.75 u tonight and I know he'll be more sensitive after this low. This is what I mean by Teasel Rules. :blackeye::confused::eek:

Crazy kitty. I don't blame you for skipping. I don't know what your schedule is like, but since you skipped the shot this morning, you could shoot an hour early tonight and make the full adjustment for DST. You'd need to be able to shoot an hour early tomorrow at AMPS and PMPS time too. Then Sunday AM he'd be on schedule. Just a thought.

That's a really good idea! Thanks! :)

Good morning, friend!! My heart came up in my throat when I saw the 58....exciting and :woot::woot::woot::woot::woot: all at the once !!

Um. Teasel. I think we need to talk about this need for drama you seem to have....

What a way to start the day, Kris! Never a dull moment with Teasel!

Teasel, mama doesn't need that kind of wake up buddy. I seen where you asked about the 18hr cycles. Basically you would test and shoot at AM+6 today which is actually PM +18, skip tonight's shot and shoot tomorrow morning getting back on the 12 hour schedule. Some kitties do well on the 18 hour cycles, some don't. I did it once with Doodles and never again because it messes up the depot for almost 3 days essentially. Doodles did better on just skipping the shot if needed and getting back to business. Of course ECID.....

Thanks, Karen. I'll have to give it more thought. I know, though, that Teasel is very easily discombobulated so I try to keep everything as simple and consistent as possible. Skipping is simple even if I don't like it.

I hope you're managing after losing Doodles ... so very difficult.

Wow! Teasel is the drama king! He really does keep you on your toes going up and down a rollercoaster.
Come on Teasel. Give your Momma a break! No more excessive surprises! When you are finished on the trampoline, step off gently instead of diving!:nailbiting:

Back to 2.75 u this evening. Will give it several cycles so he can get (somewhat) settled after the NS and depot depletion.
