I miss not seeing a Zener condo and hearing about his back yard escapades. :sad: Lots of hugs and comfort still going out to Liz and Anne (and Tillie). :YMHUG:

I'm thinking that Neko still needs a smidge more insulin, to try to get down some of these higher yellows. However, it's bad timing. This weekend is Thanksgiving and Saturday is the big family dinner on the island. Neko will probably get a trip to the island so we can get over early enough to get a bird in the oven and we may be there for PMPS due to the ferry schedule. She gets to stay in the room above the kitchen and the log house has pine floors that let the smell of cooking turkey drift into her room. Poor kitty, it'll drive her crazy - but she will get some fresh turkey meat as consolation. She'll get her increase probably on Sunday if I don't see anything before then.

Today is the last sunny summer day - forecast is back to fall weather tomorrow. Kitties got so hot in the solarium I just had to open the windows. Enjoy it Neko, tomorrow is a big change.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving Wendy... I love Thanksgiving, it's my favorite meal of the whole year. :smile:

I miss Zener's yard patrols, too. :sad: Just not the same.

How is your DM doing, Wendy? I may have missed it, but I haven't seen you mention her in a while. I hope no news is good news.

That will be torture for Neko, smelling the turkey baking. I wish the US had the same date for Thanksgiving, then we could have a week for a fall break at the university. :lol: I hope DM and DA are doing well. Thank you for thinking of us. We miss Zener and his yard patrol, too. :sad:

The smell will drive Neko crazy. At least she'll get some turkey later. I hope she slides back down to blue.

We miss Zener's slides and his yard patrol, too. Hope the cucumbers are still doing well without his daily care!

Have a grand Thanksgiving weekend, Wendy. It sounds busy, but fun. I'm sure Neko will do just fine. Is she bringing her sushi knives?

Poor Neko, a dosecrease threat, a ferry ride and then having to smell turkey dinner cooking! :lol: That can be tricky cooking turkey dinner at someone else's place. Hope your DM and DF are doing well, they are so lucky to have such a great daughter like you!

Turkey question for you: I stuff my turkey and there is always onions in the stuffing that bakes inside the turkey. So is this bad for Tiger go eat the breast meat? I baste the turkey with butter drippings, but now that I know onion and garlic is bad, I just wonder if it is bad for her to eat it? :?

Neko spent most of the day in the solarium sunshine, did have a brief yard patrol and some loving on her friend Mr. Air Compressor Tires. :lol: Of course my camera was elsewhere. :roll:

I got most of the fixings I needed today and will start dinner prep tomorrow. DSIL is also cooking. DM might make biscuits, we are trying to limit what she needs to do. She did go out to friends for dinner last weekend - she's been getting stir crazy at home. She is improving, we just have to get her to take it slow.

@Kathie, Tricia, ((Liz)), Carla, Ella, Ruth - Lots to do for Thanksgiving but we've done dinner at my parents before so we'll just see how much we can cook before hand so we can have a good visit. The bonus will be leaving lots of leftovers for them. Neko has been up at the island the last two Christmas's so she knows the drill. The good thing about October Thanksgiving is that it's actually around harvest time here. Ruth - I have onions in my stuffing too, but Neko only gets the meat. The biggest thing to worry about is whether the turkey has been brined, which has sugar in it. I get fresh organic which have not.
