Yesterday's condo

It's officially cold - I woke up with all six cats on the bed with me, something that has never happened before. Needless to say, it didn't make it any easier to get out of bed.

Since I never got around to coming back to my condo yesterday, here's the update on everyone's health.:
  • Mandarin's eye is almost back to normal. I don't really know what happened, but it appears that is wasn't an abscessed tooth after all. I am very happy for that.
  • Flora is doing a lot better on the cooked chicken + EZ Complete food. She is also getting Probiotics (Florastor). Even though her stool is still soft, it's no longer diarrhea. I decided to order one of the Immune IQ allergy tests to see if there are particular foods that she might not be able to tolerate. I sent out the samples on Friday, so I should hopefully have the results soon.
  • Iris is still snorkely - but the good news is that she seems to be feeling well and is active and playful. She has an appointment for a check-up on the 18th. She is almost six months now and I really need to get her and Flora spayed before they go into heat. Hopefully, we can do a spay + check for polyps in one procedure.

Walter, Capone and Sparrow are great. Walter recovered very nicely from his drop into the 50s yesterday. He bounced for a few hours, but is already coming back down.

All around the health report sounds pretty good! I'm glad you did the ImmuneIQ test for Flora. It's not perfect but I know it's made a huge difference for Doodles and his IBD and still without any meds :) I just had one done for Moo Moo and it's amazing the difference between the two of them. She has very little "bad bad" allergies....the difference between a healthy cat and a not so healthy cat is huge in our case!

I would never leave the bed with 6 kitts snuggled up! Hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday and boys...no funny stuff.

I am really curious to see that results! I also got a test for my dog, Einstein. He had Demodex mange for the first year of his life and is still struggling with itchy skin, ear infections, and hair loss. I suspect that he also has allergies (probably seasonal more than food). ...and the deal on Groupon was even better when you ordered two tests.

That is probably what happened... last night, I once again saw Flora playing with Walter's tail. He was sitting on the steps to my bed and his tail was dangling down. At first Flora was just batting at it, and then she used her sharp little teeth. So we once again had a conversation about proper behavior and how their big siblings are not toys. :rolleyes:
 
I wouldn't have wanted to get out of bed either! Love the snuggles!!

That is wonderful that Iris is playful and Flora is doing better!

I don't know how you manage it all! :bighug:
 
I would also give high marks for the Immune IQ report - glad you hare having it done
I can't believe those two small kitties are 6 months old - definitely tiny for their age but little bundles of fun and energy

It was really nice to just hang out with my animals today (and grade papers... even though that part wasn't so much fun). The kits had fun with their DaBird toy and the cat wheel, the seniors enjoyed the sunny window perch and everyone was happy that I turned the furnace on for a little while. Hard to believe that we basically went straight from AC to heat!
