For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot Breve's made from Sun-Dried Sumatra Rasuna beans. For my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Cimmamum and Frango Mint infused white mocha/mocha blend with Frango chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cimmamum whip garnished with cimmamum sprinkles, white chocolate curls and frango mocha drizzle. ....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of mint and vanilla and cimmamum swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with mint chips and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts always on the menu

I hope everyone had a great Tuesday yesterday. We did well here, as we continue into our third week of having the boys all week, until the end of October. Things are becoming more cohesive, the routines are getting set, even more so than last week. I will be glad when all this rain leaves us (we are back to that)... what a wet one yesterday morning! I keep hoping we will have a warm sunny fall.... hmmmm..... wishful thinking? maybe not, the afternoon here was nice, blue skies at sunset. We did go swimming yesterday - what a great time for Nicholas. He continues to the the ENERGIZER FISH. Here's what I wrote last night about the day: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. We did fairly well here. Swim days always tend to be good ones. Ah heck.... ALL THE DAYS WITH THE BOYS ARE GOOD ONES! :-D :-D There was large part of me that was glad that we swam today, as the weather really was nasty this morning, which is our normal activity time. After 1PM, naps are supposed to rule (LOL: when Nicholas takes them, William just sleeps when he wants).... The rains here were something fierce: buckets and buckets of wet stuff. By mid afternoon we had some clearing, and WOW: looking at blue skies and a setting sun. Kinda nice out there right now, 55 tops. A nice Fall afternoon. Pool was fun today. I continue to remain grateful to my MIL for watching William so Nicholas and I can go. We did close to 1.5 hours today. not too bad for the little man. LOL: He goes in there today telling me he wants to swim, not just play. well OK then, so he did. Lots os swims, lots of underwater. Right now I could care less what it looks like, as long as he loves it and tries for as long as he wants, and comes up with a smile on his face. We spent most of the time today in the big pool. Fun stuff. We go back on FR, when my MIL has time again to care for William. WOOT! After swimming we spent a few moments with Connie before taking the boys home. Picassa link to the pool: Swimming!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The rains were back yesterday, and with them came the sleepy kitties. All except for Lola. She met Nicholas and William when they arrived, as the norm. I think she really likes the play sessions that Nicholas has with her. Yesterday Nicholas saw Bug sleeping in Mannie's bed, and he made a point of telling me that he had found him, and that he was in Mannie's bed. "I NEED PET BUG!!!" so off he went to try. By then Bug had decided uh no.... so he climbed into one of Mannie's hide places. When Nicholas was little he used to follow Mannie in there. I'll be darned, but he did it with Bug yesterday too. I couldn't believe he could still fit! ;-) Next thing I hear is "Grammie!! I pet Bug!!"   I'm sure Bug was thinking OMG, save me!   Elsa of course was nowhere to be found.... Smart girl. Lola still comes to see the boys at breffis time. I love that part. It is so Mannie.... Breffis!

Have a great day everyone. It is another Nicholas and William day today. I hope to take the boys up to A river, as Nicholas asked for one yesterday. The weather should be good, cool but with sun, so I hope we can make the trip. :-D I will try and get to condos when I can.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

That's so funny Nicholas followed Bug into Mannie's hiding spot. I hope you got to take the boys to a river today and the weather was good.

LOL on Nicholas and Bug. Hopefully one day Bug will get used to the little guy and stick around! I'm glad things are working out with pool time for Nicholas - I know how important that is for both of you. Wow on the weather there...I hope it settles down at some point  !!

Have a great evening, Michelle!

Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Nicholas and William and I spent ours on the Skykomish River, HWY 2 area near Index and Gold bar. We were very lucky with the weather! It was a little foggy in some parts to start, but by 9/10 AM we had sunny blue skies, and topped out at 55. Wow: a perfect fall day. We have some clouds now, maybe the makings for a awesome sunset to boot. I doubt it was 55 where we were, most likely in the 40's, but the sun and the blue skies took care of any chill. The boys and I were thrilled to it to the Skykomish today. It was Nicholas's pick. He so wanted to see the salmon in the river again, so that was stop #1. He really loved that. Loves the "broken road that the river broke" (sight of a river washout from a few years back), loved the fish at his feet. As he would say: a major good time. I think it was maybe 41 there, but sunny, river was really cold. so... eventually that wading, rock throwing and fish watching got the best of him, and we were off to the car for lunch #1 of 2, and to warm him and WIlliam up, before heading off to stop #2 @ the Skykomish @ the big eddy near Gold Bar. His pick on that one too. It can be very sandy on some spots, so makes for really good play spot for the boys. What fun!! A train went over the bridge too while we were there. I think we saw 4 trains the while time we were out today - huge big deal for nicholas. What was even more eventful for him was that we found some dead Chinook along the river bank. "oh NO! Grammie! LOOK! The fish are dead. That can't be good. oh nooooooooo...." :-D    That was funny. We must have stayed there an hour and a half, had lunch #2, packed up all, and headed off to meet his dad and mom for William's 4 month old DR appt. William is fun - he really is very much like Nicholas at that age: just watched everything, soaks it all in, smiles alot, sleeps through some, seems so at home with it all. Really kinda nice: I have two river rats on my hands. All in all, a very nice day for the boys. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrow's condo.

Hi Carla - I so agree on Nicholas following Bug - I still can't believe he fit and that he didn't get stuck! And YES on the river! what a fantastic day!

Hi Amy - it was funny, the bit wit Nicholas and Bug. I think eventually Bug will, he seems more at ease each time he meets one of the boys. He is a very friendly social kitty, just not too sure of those small noise makers. THX on the pool - I am too. Nicholas really loves it so I try to do all I can to keep him there. Me too on the weather: crazy stuff in the morning, and then a semi-calm late afternoon. weird!
