Good Afternoon LL
I started this condo at 9:00 this morning and now just getting it finished  I am having some troubles keeping up with my condos these days
Sorry! Just crazy busy.
Hoot is doing great this morning. All 5 P's and appy are good :-D
Thanks for all the replies yesterday. Sorry I didn't get back on my condo again, I was just exhausted when I got home.
I did buy the new meter from Walmart and it is working good so far dancing_cat
I decided to start the Terumo syringes last night as Ann suggested to save a couple Relions to play around with. There is quite a difference in 1u with the Relion and 1u with the Terumo's. A big difference. The Terumo's are much less, so I'm actually giving him a reducie just switching syringes. But thanks for all the advice of not to do everything at once. So first is the syringes. I will watch his Bg's for 6 cycles and then decide what to do with his dose. Sorry I wasn't clear about what I wanted. I really just wanted to know not how much to increase, but when I should with the syringe change. Maybe he didn't really need a dosecrease, but he will now.

Devon,
Yes, it was a nice drop for Hoot but tried to get 3 more readings with errors so just gave up :-x

Hi Jess,
Welcome to our condo. Yeah, that picture of Hoot was taken out back on the stairs to the deck. He was chillaxing. Thanks!!

Ann,
THANKS so much for all the great caliper info (and Marje too!) I don't use them but think I will pick up some. I have been playing a little with the 2 syringes and what a difference :o It doesn't make sense to me why syringes aren't required to be more uniform with each other. Seems like that could be dangerous in some situations. So now time will tell us what to do with his dose. Thanks again!

Jane,
I think between Josie and I, you should be getting all kinds of Terumo info for when yours get here and good luck. Oh yeah, enjoying this cool Fall weather??

Carla,
It seems like everything hit at the same time, syringes, meter and possible dosecrease  So it's one step at a time ;-)

Julie,
Thanks for the advice. I agree there are to many things happening all at once so I will just change syringes first. The rest will follow.

Marje,
Not sure what a micropippetor is, so will have to look that up  But glad it helped you. Hopefully I won't be switching syringes again for a long time.
I am going to get a caliper tho just because it gets very hard to get those tiny doses exact every time. Thanks for everything and all your great info!

Have a great day LL :YMPEACE:

Re: 10/9 Hoot AMPS 235, +2.5/209, +4.5/223

Just thought I would stop by and wish Hoot a good day. Looks like a yellow surf going on. Good luck with all the changes.

Re: 10/9 Hoot AMPS 235, +2.5/209, +4.5/223

Hi Pam! I think Hoot has pretty good numbers for playing around with all those changes - neither really high to make you impatient to change it all, nor dangerously low. I've been appreciating all the syringe and caliper info in your condos lately! Have a great day.

Re: 10/9 Hoot AMPS 235, +2.5/209, +4.5/223

Good luck with the new syringes. I hope it's not too hard to figure out the dose difference. That's crazy they are that much different.

Re: 10/9 Hoot AMPS 235, +2.5/209, +4.5/223

Hi Pam,

Hoot is a sunny boy today! Cleo is too, but, much higher yellows!

Glad your meter situation is cleared up~

Have a good night - Weatherman says we may hit the low 60's tonight!!!

Hi Amy, your right, it could be a lot worse and as much as I'd rather see him more blue and green there are some perks that come with sunny yellows ( a little more freedom  ) Glad we can help ya learn a little...I'm learning a lot

Thanks Karen for stopping by, it is a lot of changes all at once, and every day I learn something new about this FD journey thanks to all the knowledgeable people here :-D

I know Carla, it really is crazy  but luckily Hoots #'s will tell me what to do.

Ooh you bit the bullet and started the syringe-switcharoo dance! Isn't it shocking how much difference there is from one brand to another? Scary. I hope Hoot adjusts well to the change (and you, too! There's a definite difference with the handling of the syringes, also!).

I hope you guys are having a good night :-D

Yes I did. Ann had said I should save a couple of syringes to play with and thats was all I had left. So I really had no choice but to start the dance  I love the Terumos!! So much easier :-D But yes, very slippery. Now we will play the dosing game

The syringe dance is almost as frustrating as the sugar dance! It shall be the curse of many a bean. ;-)

Hmmmm, flat yellow, what can that mean?

Good luck with the new syringes!!!
It seems like many of you are suddenly switching to Terumo!

I'm glad Hoot is doing good.
I hope he slides down soon!
