Our hearts are still full of grief and sadness for Anne and Liz and for everyone in LL who loves Zener and has followed his journey the last 3-1/2 years and shared in all the happy moments he's brought us all.

Mama did not perform as required this morning. Gracie got up, visited the LB, and headed for the bathroom window (which is down the hall from her LB room) to go out to the catio. not open, mama. She then walked all the way around into the library and to the door that goes out to the catio not open, mama. Back around to the bathroom window not open, mama. Last trip to the library door with a look of exasperation (e.g. stink eye) at me as she passed me in the kitchen and then came back NOT OPEN, MAMA!!!! And I had to tell her sweet little Principessa self that mama never opens the window or the door until after T/F/S. Sorry, baby girl. She was very happy, though, when all exits to the catio were opened and she could go through one, out the other, run down the hall, out, in, etc.

This afternoon is her u/s recheck of her liver. So far, since we've started the new liquid vitamin E, no vomiting. Paws crossed it is the vitamin E helping and not just coincidence. Also paws crossed that her bile duct and liver will be normal looking. Tobey's echocardiogram is now scheduled for Oct 16.

Gracie has just plain fizzled on the .55u dose so I took her up this morning. Every fall is a battle to keep her somewhat regulated. I have no idea why but it just seems to be the case.

We had rain starting yesterday morning, all through the day and night and into this morning. It was mostly a nice, steady rain that soaks in. However, my office window at work leaked and my desk got flooded and it was a holy mess. Thankfully none of my computer equipment or printer got wet before I got it moved out of the way.

Hi Marje,

I hope the U/S went well today for miss Gracie :smile: That stinks about your office getting wet, at least the computer stuff was safe though.

I can just picture LBG stalking from one exit to the other, getting more indignant with each pass! She is such an expressive cat! :lol:

Sending good US vines. I hope you get good news when the results come in. How long do you have to wait? That's the worst part.

Marje, I also am sending good u/s vines, for LBG :-D

How awful for the flooded desk. I had window leaks, this WET summer, and had to replace lower drywall in two rooms. I'm glad your 'puter was safe.

i looked for your condo a bit ago and somehow couldn't find it. ohmygod_smile

and yet, here it is. i'm glad it was just a routine check for Gracie - fingers and toes crossed that you got good news. :YMHUG:

you might get demoted if you don't step up and perform a little better in the mom department. ;-) :-D

Good thing Marje said that Gracie doesn't hold grudges like some "other" cats we know. ;-) :lol:

Aw, Sweet Little Gracie giving mom the stink eye!- who'd a thunk it?? :lol: Keeping fingers and paws crossed for a good US report, I hope the new vitamin E does help! And oh my, I am so sorry about your desk- how horrible!
 
Thank you all for visiting today and checking in on Gracie. It was another three hour vet trip. We left at 3 for a 3:45 appt and Dr. M had an emergency case come in and so he didn't see us until 4:45. It was 5:30 before we left. Gracie was perfect the whole time esp for her u/s. Dr. m continues to be befuddled by her. He's beginning to wonder if her bile duct, which is still dilated, is just her because all of her liver enzymes associated with the bile duct or biliary issues are perfect. He looked at her pancreas, gall bladder, liver, and small intestine with the "wand" that can really get close pictures. He said everything is very normal looking....her pancreas, gallbladder, liver, intestines. But her ALT is still slightly elevated and so he thinks she has something going on with her liver.

The plan is to keep her on the water soluble vit E a couple more weeks, recheck her labs. If her ALT is still elevated, he wants us to consider needle biopsies. He took her off the a/b. So....paws crossed the vitamin E works.
 
I'm so glad everything looks great. How like Gracie to play stump the vet! :roll:

Yay for being off the AB. I hope the Vitamin E helps get the ALT down and everything else continues to be normal.
