Sorry I wasnt able to post yesterday. I didnt feel well after getting a flu shot so I went to bed early. Here is a recap:

We went up on his dose yesterday to 2u. I am hoping this is just NDW but I am discouraged. But I know I have to be patient. Now I dont know if Doogle is sick or what, but his right eye is all pink around the rim, watery and he keeps it closed mostly. He just got over an ear infection which cleared up fine using Otomax. This seems to happen at least once a month now. We have been using nonstreoidial eye drops and keeping it clean with eye wash. Just started Lysine yesterday but gotta get into the habit of using it. He is going to the vet tomorrow to see what it could be but last time the vet found nothing wrong (did a pink eye test and negative). So I dont know what is causing it. I just want to get these numbers down. Again after going DKA last year (no ketones since) I am always scared to death of long periods in higher numbers.

Tonight will be our 4th shot on 2u. I am just stressed over this. :YMSIGH: :YMSIGH:

I hope you're physically feeling better today. That wasn't a bad cycle yesterday for Doogle, and paws are crossed that the dosecrease will kick in and bring the numbers down.

I hope the vet visit goes well tomorrow and that you get some concrete answers on the eye issue so that you can figure out the best treatment for it. Maybe getting that resolved will help bring the numbers down, too.

Lots of healing vines are headed Doogle's way and lots of moral support is headed your way. Hang in there!

Thanks Shelly!!! :-D Hopefully we will figure out something. A bit of a better PMPS number. At least we are still playful and happy, thats a good thing. I may have to break down though and use the eye drops with steroids. Since the ear drops with steroids didnt effect him to bad, maybe it wont either.

I will update tomorrow night.

I hope you feel better soon. See where he is at AMPS but I'd be tempted to increase tomorrow if he's still high yellow or pink. I wouldn't be surprised if you will need to go up to at least 2.5u eventually. Since you test a lot and are experienced, you could be more aggressive and increase to 2.25u tomorrow if he doesn't come down.

Ok will do Marje! I was already thinking that especially since I will be home over the weekend. I do feel better, its just that achy feeling you get when you get the flu shot is what I had. I am back to my feisty and spunky weird self.... :lol:
