10/9 Belle AMBG: 88, PMBG: 137, +3: 86 (OTJ TRIAL DAY 10)

Well, the baby gate was down to the kittens bedroom and a small bowl of kibble empty. We had company over and I Didn’t notice :( going to recheck in about 15 mins. Jinxed it

She's back in green at +3 so it's fine! :-) Just note down in the SS that she could've gotten into the kibble :-)

Any chance you can switch the kittens to low carb kibble? I know you said wet food is out of your budget for now. LC kibble is also expensive but it's calorie dense so they eat less. You could have fixed meals raher than free-feed.

I would like to have them all on wet food now actually but the kittens are RAVENOUS around it. They prefer the wet food big time. I guess my concern is that They will eat it all if it’s left in the feeders, as soon as they see some there they gobble it up and the ONLY reason we still keep the cats and kittens separated at times is because of the kibble. I’m also a little concerned that it (fancy feast pate) is not comprehensive enough for their nutritional needs? I haven’t had kittens for a long time and I have been trying to figure out what the right thing to do for all of them is

Actually canned food is fine for kittens and even better than dry. They do eat a lot. I was shocked when I got my two. They are foodies though. I bought a bag of dry to supplement when they were under a year and they just played with it! They get commercial raw now and are fed three times a day and act like I’m starving them but are at a perfect weight. It’s not the cure for all though as one has skin allergies! Too expensive for lots of cats unless you make your own.
