Coming off a bounce. Also, finished up the first Semglee pen. Was a bear getting the dose right. Had to open a new pen to get another unit or so into the syringe. I want to do a curve tonight since I'll be up late watching football anyway and I think the night numbers give the true effects on how low the insulin is taking him. I don't want to do all his curves at night. I want to sleep. I'm funny that way. ;)

Yes! I understand you 'Noles really have it in for Jimbo for leaving and going to A&M. We had a traitor to do that. Franchione left us for A&M in 2003 [?] after 2 years in Tuscaloosa. We just wiped him from our collective memory. I had to Google to spell his name right. :smuggrin:

Actually, I wasn't that mad at him when he left. He had a better offer and was divorcing his wife and probably just wanted a fresh start somewhere else. He wanted out of Tallahassee. Good thing Franchione left. Look who you ended up with! Nobody better than Saban.
 
Looks to be an excellent night for a curve. Gave 100 mls sub-q fluid middle of the day. PMPS essentially same as AM+3. Bama is eating well this evening.
 
This is not how I envisioned my Saturday night. I've given him MC gravy but he continues to drop. When do I bring out the HC and/or honey? At 80?

Thanks, he seems to have slowed the drop. I am testing every 1/2 hour and resume my every 2 hour curve when he starts to rise. Now if my team will just stop its slide.
 
At +6 he is @ 134; just had a loose BM. Of course he's had some MC wet including some Sheba Cuts in Gravy that he's not used to eating. Two tests remain in this curve [+8 & +10]. Since he is surfing in the 130s, I am inclined to leave him at current dose of 5.25. He's had some time in the blues and yellows at this dose and just started a new Semglee pen today. @Wendy&Neko @Bandit's Mom What are your thoughts? Thanks!
 
His numbers are still overall too high and with too few stretches of blue. I would take his dose up.

Over 5U, increases are in multiple of 0.5U, but let me tag @Wendy&Neko for confirmation.
 
Thanks Bhooma. He is slowly starting to rise @+7 to 149. I'm thinking of modifying the curve from here out and taking one more reading @ +9.5. Wendy had told me about increasing by 0.5U in doses over 5U after I had increased by only .25. If I do increase I would prefer to only increase by .25 and get him to 5.5U so I have the half mark to go by on the syringe.
