Things here are a bit out of sorts. DH left for NJ. Don't know if he will be back today. He will decide when he sees his brother. Having chewy delivered early so it's not sitting out should delivery be while both of us are in NJ. Depending on arrangements when the time comes we could be gone 36-48 hrs. Taking Olive and finding hotel is a possibility but DH doesn't want to do that. He thinks I should just go down the day of funeral. So a lot of things to figure out but can't plan ahead of time. Only thing I don't need to worry about is my dad as he's being taken care of.

Hugs and prayers to everyone.

Personally, if Olive is ok to travel (and I know you've taken her places before, I just don't know how far they were) I would take her so that you can still monitor her and not worry about her for every minute you are away.

The only problem with that is the weather. She would have to stay in the car the entire time. If I was allowed to bring her in the house she would have to stay in carrier due to the amount of people coming and going. BIL and wife were quite large in the community, school system and church. It will be a large full Catholic mass followed by graveside services. It won't be a private viewing or service it will be open to the community. I think it's to much stress for Olive and to be frank for me. Concerned for possible issue with one of the sons and for my husband who will not be in the best frame of mind losing another sibling before the age of 65. I will just have to play it be ear.
