I am soooo over wondering when the commercial food formulas will change! I've got a grinder coming and will start transitioning to homemade raw as soon as I can! I hope your change up works for Trixie.

I"m sure homemade raw is probably the best route to go. For the humans in the house, I'm huge on making everthing from scratch, so I have complete control over what we consume. But for the kitties...well, we (the humans, not the cats) are vegan. I've literally cooked/touched meet maybe 2 or 3 times in my life. I know I wouldn't be able to stomach grinding it. So, I get them the highest quality commercial possible...but it would be nice if they would at least tell us when they make a change!

Good luck with the diet. I went to Petsmart today and another specialty pet store to stock up on a bunch of food that I hope Simon will like. I am trying a mix of Wellness, Blue wilderness, and EVO.

Let me know how the different foods work of whatever brand(s) you try. I'm seriously leaning toward making Champ's food. Decisions, decisions!!! Good luck with it. I'll be keeping an eye out!

For dinner, she got a 50/50 mix of BG chicken and Instinct chicken. Not bad for her +2...she hasn't had many green +2s as of late. So, we shall see if the trend continues, or if it's just some FD fluke!

Good luck with the foods war. I'll be watching to see how Trixie does with the new fuds. It is frustrating when they change the formulas and it affects the carbs. I didn't get out to the pet store today, taking a break from buying food.

It really is frustrating. I fought buying FF for so long, but I had exhausted other possibilities (according to Binky's food chart), so I finally caved...and a month later, I hear the formula has changed and it's supposedly higher in carbs than it used to be. Ugh! At least for tonight, she seemed to like the Instinct mixed with the BG. I know she gets good BGs off BG, but she won't touch it unless it's mixed with something "tastier". She loves Wellness, but it spikes her, even though it's low carb. I've also got a few cans of Blue Wilderness in reserve. The next few days will be interesting!!
