Hi everybody. We just got home about an hour ago. Yes Tori is with me and she looks really good. First thing she did when she got out of her kitty carrier was head off into the kitchen and look for some food. She didn't like what was on the menu so she went and laid down. I brought her some fishy FF and she ate about a teaspoon and is now cuddling on the love seat with her brother Rocky. It's a couple of hours til her supper and shot so I think we'll leave it at that for now. She did eat a bit for them at the vets today so we're making progress.
Her BG's at the vet have ranged from 274 to 362 which are too bad considering. So we need to work on those a bit. SHe's come home with a real little pharmacy again. She's on Pepcid, Metacop, Mirtazapine, Amoxil, the Buprenex and of course the Prednisolone. The pred has been changed to 2mg daily from 5mg q2 days which hopefully make it easier to regulate her sugars. I will be giving squids for a couple of days as well staring tomorrow seeing she had the IV all day til right before she went home.
All in all I think she's done really well. She looks a hundred times better than she did 2 days ago. Her FPL1 was 14 by the way normal being 0.1-3.5. so she was having a rip roaring attack there. When she was so sick 2 years ago she was at 17. This little girl never ceases to amaze me. It seems that she can almost bounce back from anything. Now if she would just get a part time job to help pay her vet bills. Today's total was $799.00 and there were lots of things that they didn't charge me for. So the roof fund took quite a hit today but as I said to the receptionist what good would a new roof be if I didn't have my cat with me under it. Chemo will be in 2 weeks again. Want to keep those nodes down. Who knows we might be able to use the R word yet.
Thanks you all so much again for all the prayers and vines that have been sent our way the last couple of days. See how powerful the love in LL is. Please keep them coming though so that Tori will eat OK and that the Flare will pass all together really quickly.
It's been such a sad day today with our sweet Bear Man going to the Bridge. I know we will all miss him so much. What a beautiful GA he must be. So handsome. Fly high and proud sweet boy for you have surely earned those beautiful golden wings of yours.
Well I think I'm going to take my cue from Tori and have a nap before it's shot time. Will try and report in later.
