Based on what I'm understanding, I think Tiny might have dipped on 10/6 after her PMPS because her 10/7 AMPS was in the 200s and after that, she rose into the 400s, but I have no data to corroborate that speculation. It was good to see a low 300s AMPS today. I will get a +3, a +6 and a + 9 or +10 and update the spreadsheet later today.

I'm having a terrible time rousing myself to get some Post PMPS numbers through the night. Obviously, I get one before heading to sleep at night, but at my middle-of-the-night awake times I'm so tired that if she's not nearby to test I'm letting it go. How do you all beat this exhaustion? I'm beginning to think there's something wrong with me!

On another note Cookie's Vet visit was not helpful. Blood work was taken, but no results yet. The Florastor is helping, but not enough to stop the mud pie stool yet - we have some formed then some mud pie. Anyone know about giving a whole Florastor twice a day? The half twice a day is bringing some results but not full. She had a vomiting episode last night too, so once her appetite picks up a bit, I'm going to try some slippery elm on her.

Once I get Cookie's blood work results, I'm going to request that her history is gathered up and we are finding another Vet. We had an incident with the Vet that involved the Vet getting angry and yelling, not over anything we had done with Cookie's care, but over the wait at the office. We are going to interview new Vets here in Pittsburgh and have had some recommendations from friends. I've had enough of the arrogance and attitude and want some serious care for both Tiny Sole and especially Cookie right now.

Over and out - much love to everyone.
Joanne + Tiny Sole ...and Cookie too.

Joanne, the only thing I can say about the exhaustion is if you can get a power nap in. My time seems to be 3:00 pm. I can not for the life of me keep my eyes open at that time. I go to bed when Olive allows at 1am after her +6 test, if she's dropping of course we are up most of night. Civvie has me up +8 and I usually have at least 1 bathroom trip. Get up at 7 am for Olive's test, shoot, feed. Sometimes I can go back to bed until 9 am. I never have uninterrupted sleep. Saturday or Sunday it catches up and I nap for a couple of hrs in the afternoon. Of course nothing gets done around the house. I have to squeeze in pc time to take care of my dad's bills, doctor appts, plus husbands and mine which are heavy in Sept and Oct. I don't care if the house looks dirty anymore, since there is on going remodeling it really doesn't make a difference.

Just nap when you can is all I can say.

@Olive & Paula , it's good to know that there are a gaggle of us who are exhausted 24/7! The house?...clean...? hahahahahahaha! No one here cares about that; we do what we can when we can and don't put that demand on ourselves either. You did give me permission to nap my Saturday and Sundays away, when I can. I always feel guilty about not being able to get things accomplished that need to be, but...to hell with it. Power naps are not doable at work - the job is too demanding. I'll try to do what I can through the night, but I've never been a good second-shift or third-shift person and my health has suffered sorely when I try to push my adrenals past Midnight; it always ends up in a bad health crisis for me, so I have to set limits to some degree as I help Tiny Sole improve. I'll do my best, whatever that ends up being for the given day, and that is all I can do. I know you understand. None of us asked for our SugarBabies, but they must have been given to us because we are up to the cause. I'll hang in there, and you do the same.
I send love, strength and good wishes to you and to all the momma- and dad-beans.
XOXO

Well, since Tiny's +3 was higher than her PMPS, I'm going to head to sleep.
I will search and find her for a middleofthenight BG, if it kills me...and it very well could! ;)
May it be a good night for all.

Just nap when you can is all I can say.
In the beginning I didn't think I could get up all night to test. I "Used to" have trouble falling asleep, now although i still set my alarm, i never hear it because Ravan gets me up 10 mins before it goes off!
It takes me about 2 mins to test him right there in my bed & I fall back to sleep instantly. My kitty & me have both adapted. :)

Are you following the advice here or your Vets? It can get confusing if you are. The vets often have very different ideas.
Are you still feeding Kibble? It will raise the glucose. Did you read the yellow sticky note about why NOT to feed dry food?
Sole's readings are high. I've been told they need as much insulin as they need to get the bg down. The goal is to see green & some blue.

Have you tried SEB (slippery elm ) for nausea & diarrhea ? https://draxe.com/slippery-elm/

Best of luck with Tiny Sole :)

Thank you for your encouragement, @JoyBee&Ravan
I'm heading to sleep at night earlier and finding it a little easier to get up to test.
I'll stop whining and keep plugging away.
I've had not such good luck or advice with Veterinarians, so am about to interview a new one on Thursday, before bringing any cats.
The current Vet had us switch to a GastroIntestinal kibble for Cookie, which seems to be helping Cookie's stool formation, but isn't helping Tiny.
Bad advice from the Vet. Confused? Yes. Vet says "balanced diet" for all cats (we have 4), including Tiny, that includes grains. I tried it her way; it's not working, so, no more.
I'm off next week and will get a routine going for Tiny, predominantly and all cats ultimately, that we owners are going to need to make a solid commitment to.
I've already started to maneuver the food so Tiny doesn't get the high-carb kibble and will transition everyone off of it, although Cookie will likely need it a while longer.
I haven't tried the SEB yet; Cookie is so sensitive and skittish, but I will get there.
Again, I appreciate your encouragement. Thank you for the suggestions.
Gratefully, Joanne

Sometimes you just agree with the vet and do the opposite at home. Olive sees a new vet now so she can get the cabergoline. My others go to the other vet but I'm now seeing a different Dr there. There are things I like and dislike about both practices, but I know I will never find one that will be 100% on the same page as me.

Sounds like you're going in the right direction. :D This journey isn't easy but it will get Easier as time goes by. (I've seen some kitties go into remission when they were taken off all dry food)
We have all been there, so please ask questions. The more you know about the insulin, how it works & everything else about diabetes the easier it will be . Copy some of the sticky notes & put them in a folder to refer to. I've looked at mine nearly every day.

I'm big on the Slippery elm. Some people would rather use a pharmaceutical but i rather try a natural herb first. For my Kitties it does work. I put a half of a capsule of SEB into a shot glass, add enough water to make it liquid, not thick. Put the mixture into a feeding syringe & one squirt in the side of the mouth. Usually by the end of the day they are eating,no longer nauseated. It also helps with constipation. I give it to all 3 of my cats every other day. If you have time, read about it from the web site I gave you. It's really interesting.
Here's what i use. You can go on other peoples condos to read their questions & answers & take a look at the SS (spread Sheets) There's a lot to learn but little by little you'll be amazed at how much you'll learn.

Hang in there :):bighug:

The feeding syringe is marked in ml So I say it's a bit less than 2 ml. I try not to give more than one squirt (The easier the better) I hold the top of their head with my left hand & slowly squirt the SEB in the side of the mouth
It takes a little practice But i can do it quickly now so they barely know what happened :p Some people need to wrap kitty in a towel, Burrito style! Ya gotta experiment, find what works for you.

By binder you mean for the phosphorus? If kitty doesn't have Kidney disease it may not be a good idea to put Binder in their food. Phosphorus is a mineral essential for good health.
You can read about it here https://www.felinecrf.org/phosphorus_binders.htm

Let me know how it works for you :)

Ravan was recently diagnosed with kidney disease so I've been putting Phosphorus Binder in his food It's been on my mind!
Paper binder ,Good idea :D I bought several Feeding syringes they do come in handy!
