Yesterday was the typical daytime bouncette, followed by a nightime slide that confused the bean.

It's about 4 weeks we've been on Lev and my ability to predict her cycles is still awful. With Lantus and her PS and a +3 or +4, I had a pretty good idea of how the cycle would play out. Last night with the PS, +3.5 and +7, that morning :mrgreen: was still an eye opener. Oh well, onwards and more data gathering.

Neko surprised me with an early morning lap. I do the shot with her on my lap, but normally she gets right up after and heads off to do whatever business kitties need to do. But today she settled in and we got a few purrs and she stayed long enough for my legs to get stiff on the floor.

Sunny day here, I'm off in a couple to do a walk with friends and get the end of season pedicure. DH will be in charge until I'm back.

Sweet! Isn't it great to have a DH who will step in? :-D :-D :-D So you get an end of season pedicure, what does he get?

I've found that like Neko Tess has a very late nadir, +10 to even +12. + 3 is usually up and +6 barely starting to come down. If I see any down ward movement in those 2 I can look for a lot more later. Just how much later is up for grabs, and yeah, they do like to pull a fast one sometimes. Maybe we shouldn't let the two of them get together at the sushi bar!

And Neko continues to surprise. I got delayed coming back today. I was visiting a good friend who just had a CKD cat cross the bridge last week. Now cat #2 (much older, slightly hyperthyroid) is showing the same signs as kitty #1 did with acute renal failure. :sad: Hoping not, he's off to vetty soon, but I helped with some assist feeding.

@Devon - I do so love Neko laps. I think it helps that it's feeling like fall so she's more snuggly.

@Rich - She made it back to green again. I didn't get DH to test, thought she was zooming today. :roll:

@Carla - Not exactly a surf with that +2.5, but I have not idea what she did in between. Love extra laps. :-D :-D

@Ann - Time to take away their cell phones. :roll: I have seen Neko do a +7 nadir so I think that's why she's surprised me. Good tip on being aware at the +3 going down and getting a later test. I was bushwacked because the +7 was higher than the +3.5.

Hi Wendy,
Did you get your pedicure? Is it really the end of rowing season? I thought that the coastal climate where you live would permit a longer rowing season. I guess you'll have to switch to paddling!

Wish I could be of some help with Neko's Lev. cycles. Rusty has weird days (like the one today), but in general is pretty predictable. Thank goodness, because I don't think I could survive if I had to test after bedtime.

@Liz - Sorry I missed you first time. :oops: You reminded me I had to go outside and check on how DH was doing with the painting. I've done my major bits, but we still have a few things we can do when the rain hits (eg. inside solarium).

@Ella - Rusty is my model of how I've love Neko's cycles to me. End of rowing is end of October, so a few more weeks yet. But now I'm going into the water with boots, so the nails aren't showing any more. I have rowed in December and February but the water is pretty cold so I'd not a good idea safety wise.

you made me laugh with that one. the "confused the bean" part. neko was probably feeling pretty smug when she read of her success there! :lol:

so you must've gotten all the sun in the area - we got rain. and more rain. :-D good thing i have a giant umbrella!

It must be so hard especially so soon after losing the other kitty....
