10/8 Meme amps 180, pmps 129 dose advice between a drop and 0.1

Hope everyone had a good day

I know Meme is doing fine and i should give this dose more time but i did not like her ps numbers.

I want to make a dose suggestion and like your opinion, what about sonething between a drop and 0.1, i mean i will push the the plunger above 0.1 line so it will give me a rop and little more insulin, i tried this many time to see how much of insulin will come out ( a drop and some more).

Can i try this dose, it might work as it is not too much or you think i should stick to a drop??


One more question,
I noticed that meme did not drink any water since i switch her totally to wet food and cut the M/D dry treat. Vet said it is ok and she is not dehydrated at all since wet food has lot of water but any cat should drink some water. I am keeping the bowel near her food but she never touched it??

Is that ok??

You can try the dose but I'd be a little wary considering the drop got her to 71 just a few days ago. Remember below 68 is a reduction point so 71 doesn't give you much room. I see you haven't been able to get mid cycle tests the last 2 days. We don't know what she's done during that time and her higher PS could be a mini bounce. If you do increase make sure you can get mid cycles tests. Too much insulin can look like not enough.

I do hear of many kitties that don't really drink water when on all wet food as well as when their BG numbers are in the normal range.

Mmmm ok i was confident to try this dose but you make me think twice now.

I could not make more test because i was out for some work but i will start doing a curve tomorrow for the vet. I think it will give us a close look to her BG during the day.

I also have only one bottle of strips test and contact the clinic to provide me more but they also ran out and have to order it. In worse case i will have to use human meter and i will be confused but hope we can manage it.

If you get close to running out of the AlphaTrak strips, you could call around and ask other vet clinics if they will sell you a bottle.

Just make a note on the SS if you do need to change so it's clear. The only difference is the reduction point then becomes below 50 instead of 68.

We do not have lot of clinics her, this is the only one that provide the meter and strips but i let them know and hope the strips will arrive before i finished the bottle.

By tomorrow i will finish the 24 hours curve so you can take a close look ans see if this dose is working ok so far.
