Back to work today. It's hard leaving for the entire day when I know we'll both be gone and can't check on her. It's great to see the impact that the 1.25 units is having. It's also much more "skating the thin line" sometimes though, so when she's on a dose that impacts her this much, it makes me much more comfortable to be around the house to be able to react in case something goes wrong.

Hope she'll be fine today. I will post again tonight when we're back home to check on her.

Yep. Real happy to see that.

I can tell she's still not used to the greens and blues yet though. When she's in the yellow, she seems happiest. Liver training!

Have a great day, friends,

I know what you mean about leaving them and not being able to check on them. When Furball has lower numbers, I just leave extra food out when I have to leave all day. I hope Charlie surfs nicely for you.

Wow, Jane. Now that is some FLASHY liver training! That is EXACTLY what we need. For Charlie to see that and hop on the bus to trained liver paradise.

Soon, soon, I hope.

Even if it does seem to be a rrrrrreeeeeeaaaaaalllllllyyyyy long bus ride for old Charlie.

Furby: I would want to go home from work to check on you too. You are such a little snuggler. I bet you are the sweetest cat ever. Your mom is the nicest for leaving out extra food.

Charlie doesn't "self regulate" at all. If I leave out food, she eats it. I think that's a survival mechanism from her old days out as a stray.

Eat when you can, she says!

If it's 1 can or 3 cans, it's all usually gone by the time I get home from work. So we are still sticking with the food regulation program. 200 grams pread out throughout the day seems to be helping to regulate things a bit. Charlie is still nowhere near regulated, but we have seen more of a consistent impact ever since we have had more control over her food intake.

We now give 70-80 grams in the morning for breakfast since we'll be gone all day. Then we give a small amount at 5pm (20 grams). Then 50 grams at 7pm PMPS and 50 grams before bed.

One day, I hope this girl gets with the program and sails into blues and greens all day and night long. One can dream. :-D
Have a good day/night everyone.
