YESTERDAY: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/10-7-booger-9am-76.204345/#post-2266842 So Booger seems to be doing better with his number (fingers crossed). I am just worried about his +10 from which was this morning at 8am. He was 181. Kinda scares me not knowing what he was before that lol He could have been higher or lower... more concerned about the lower and how low. I hate when that happens. But seeing as he only got down to 180 yesterday (that I know of) im hoping he was just consistently in the 100's from 1am to 8am. lol He has been on 2.25 units for 8 cycles now. Not really sure I am ready to increase as I would like to see if he would stay steady for a couple of more days. Afraid that if I increase, he will start bouncing all over the place again. Thoughts?
From what I see on your SS, he's already bouncing all over the place. He's only making it down into the mid-100s now, so you definitely have room to increase to 2.5. You test plenty, so no worries about it being safe.
I do think there is probably room to take him up, my only niggling doubt is that 73@+11 on Oct 6. (I know you double checked it and got the same, so we know it wasn't a bad strip) Given that was the first green, maybe it would make sense to hold the dose for at least 10 cycles as per the TR protocol. I hate that too, He didn't give any indication of where he was heading at +3 that night did he? Given his flare for the dramatic I might consider setting an alarm and getting a test somewhere between +5-+7 especially when/if you take the dose up. With that 73 AT the other day I do wonder whether it makes sense to hold on to that dose till that bounce is well and truly clear, so at least 6 cycles from then. If it were me I think I would be inclined to hold on to the dose for now and if he doesn't get back to green tomorrow then take him up on 10/10, watching for those midcycle drops in the pm especially.
I agree with Gill. I would wait the full 6 cycles after the green, and see where he is on the morning of 10/10.
@Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey @Gill & George @Dyana well I know this is yesterdays post but I wanted to get back to you all. This morning I got a late start (its been a bad two weeks for me ) My ac went out the night before last so I have been getting maybe 2-3 hours of sleep. I have been trying to keep us all as comfortable as possible. Luckily today a cold front is moving through so its much much cooler. Anyway, got a late start this morning. Booger was 153. Fed and shot 2.25. at +2 he was 34!!! I double checked to make sure it was not a wonky strip and it was not. So I gave him some honey, a tiny bit of dry food, and then some of his reg food. I am sure he will be high as a kite later I am not sure how this even happened????
