Good evening,

another high day again. Seems like the libre is failing. If she lies in certain positions it goes lower quickly. If she moves, it goes up again and I have many sensor errors. So she might be higher than I see on the libre. I have to put on a new one but today she would not let me and I am too tired and stressed out to try. :(

She is quite grumpy with me and I just managed to test bg and ketones once today. Thank god ketones are still good (0.1 at +5). Please keep your fingers crossed I manage to put on the libre tomorrow. Last time was a desaster. :nailbiting:

She was eating o.k. during the day but didn't eat anything at shot time tonight. I shot anyway in the hope, she eats later and she did. Thank god.

I will go to bed very early tonight and set the alarm, so I can get up for the antibiotics later in the evening. As I give it three times a day I have a strange schedule now.

I hope everyone has a calm day and night! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, I'm glad Binie ate her dinner on her own tonight. Thank God.
So sorry the Libre is failing. You know I can sadly relate to that.
I wonder why it goes lower in certain positions. Hmmm.:bookworm:

Sending you very good vibes for an easy installation tomorrow. I am praying she is an easy patient tomorrow.
Think positive and take a good long, deep breath before you begin and picture things going very smoothly.

Have everything ready and set out so you don't have to stop to go get anything (I know you already do this!)
So happy ketones are still good and not a problem. :cat:
Sending many good wishes and prayers for Binie to slide down and feel well. Hoping she keeps up her appetite for you.

Try to get rest when you can.I set many alarms, too, the only way I can keep doing things and checking on things through the day and night.

Many hugs and kisses for both of you from me and Ivy:bighug::bighug::kiss::kiss:

Hi Staci,

thank you so much! I know you are an expert putting on the sensor and I am sure, Ivy is also not the most patient cat to do so.

Putting on the sensor is a process which can take two days with Binie. :) I need her to cooperate and just stay in a good position so I try to make not everything at once. The shaving I did yesterday during the day. Usually she like this and even purrs, if it doesn't take too long. I also cleaned the area yesterday with a damp washcloth. She doesn't like that so much but it is o.k.

Last night, when she was lying still in the perfect position (on the side is best), I cleaned with alcohol and was curious, if she would stay still. The difficult moment is, when I apply the skin tac and have to wait until it gets tacky. Last time she was getting up and I had to clean the area from the hard skin tac to start the process all over again.

I think the problem with the last sensor was, that maybe the filament was bent a little and depending on her body posture sometimes deeper in - reading correct values - or a bit more out and reading too low. The sensor is still in as I like to soak it with coconut oil to get it off more easily. So maybe I know more tomorrow. The Abbott hotline also said to me, that an inflammation or hitting a blood vessel can cause these kind of problems. They will send me a new one. :)

And you are so right, that it is useful to prep all the equipment. As I have to wait for the perfect moment with Binie (lying relaxed in a certain position) I have everything here for the whole day so I don't have to waist time with it while she is in a good position and I may have a chance to put it on.

With Binie only patience helps. If I go into a fight, I will loose for sure. How do you do this with Ivy? Do you hold her somehow or also hope, she stays in place?

Hope you have another calm night with good but safe numbers! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
