10/7 Xena AMPS 117, +2 164, +4 154, +7 231/ PMPS 250

I caught Xena eating something on the living room floor. I was able to get some of it out of her mouth. It turned out to be part of a club cracker. Not sure if it’ll affect her numbers. I don’t even know how much of it she ate. She must’ve grabbed it from my plate when I walked to the kitchen for a moment. I’m very diligent about not leaving food where she can get it, but I’m not infallible.……………….It’s Always something.

Banana bread wrapped in foil, blueberry muffins in a ziploc, baguette in it's wrap, biga (bread starter) under plastic wrap. Besides starting with B, all these things were something/carbs that Neko broke into. I once caught her licking unwashed plates in the sink. All these got better when her numbers got under control. So far I'm seeing lots of nice blues today. Fingers and paws crossed here it sticks.

Following your conversation with yesterday, if looking for new vets, you might want to try to find someone who graduated from a vet school that studied higher dosed cats. Neko's IM vet graduated in Europe (Belgium) where one of the best acro researchers also graduated from. Colorado State U, North Carolina State U, U of California (Davis) have all done some work in high dosed cats. Washington State U as well. This post might be helpful: Vet Interview/Screening Topics & Check List

Yeah Xena can’t jump on the counter anymore it would be a bigger pain. The next test after she ate that cracker her numbers were up. I’m hoping the cracker is what did it and we continue to see blues after her pm dose.

Sounds like she might have arthritis. Has this something you've talked to the vet about?
No…vet visits have been pretty limited, but I did mention that her back legs seem a little shaky, sometimes to the vet when we went, and she was diagnosed, and the vet basically said it could be a number of things we have to do a bunch of tests, and we were already at our limit between the vet visit and bloodwork supplies, etc.… I mean she jumps on the couch she runs around like a nut. She jumps up on the bed which is pretty high. I know cats with diabetes usually get weakness in their back legs so I figured that could be starting also. She’s also gotten pretty chunky… even in her younger years she never jumped on the kitchen counter, though there’s not really room for her to jump up there we live in a small apartment and the counter has a lot of stuff on it. Just put it that way.
Somebody here mentioned, adding vitamin B 12 to her diet. Which I’d like to do but I have to go back and see what it was she recommended. Maybe you know?
I think when I was looking into that was right before one of the times that my wife went into the hospital. I try to stay focused and do the best I can for Xena. I just have a lot on my plate and not a lot of means it’s gotten overwhelming.

Tyler had neuropathy , I would say it took about 2 months for him to totally to start walking normal, jumping on to the couch and running.

Some members use Zobaline its so expensive like 34.00 for 60 pills
I was using that in the beginning then a member here told me about the Vitacost brand so I switched to that. A lot of members use the Vitacost brand now

I did see a small improvement I would say about every 2 weeks

Found this on Amazon. Do you think this is ok...or should i go w/ what you know? Only because it's more than twice as many and actually less $ when you take shipping into consideration.

Yes it looks fine, I read the back of the bottle, make sure you add a little water to the wet food and mix it up
