'Fast Early Drops
Need Little Honey Drops'

Reuben earned another reduction yesterday in dramatic style, and this is the little ditty I made up to remind me to use honey when he is dropping crazy fast.

Yesterday he dropped from AMPS 116 +1/66 +2/31
I was feeding HC/MC starting at +1/66
switched to straight HC at +1.5/43
and it did not stop him from getting to +2/31 :shock:

So I finally brought out the honey at the +2/31 and then gave him way too much of course. ohmygod_smile as in 1/2 teaspoon ohmygod_smile
and sent the poor thing all over the map bg wise...

So, 'fast early drops need little honey drops' is my mantra. :razz:

He refuses any food except pressed turkey breast lunch meat stuff, so I am feeding that to him, and supplementing with platinum performance which is a complete supplement that is added to homeade food. So he'll be okay while I figure out what the HECK is going on!

Ongoing Medications:

**Potencil 50mg bid (need to switch antibiotics)
pepcid 2.5mgbid
bupe - 0.1ml at midnight last night
miralax - none yesterday
forti flora
platinum performance

** reduced for 5 days than suspended for 48 hours to see if he still needed it; restarted 3 days ago: 6 doses again so far

I have the 750 piece jigsaw puzzle and you have the 2000 piece or maybe the 3000 piece. :YMSIGH:
I've never done any really large jigsaw puzzles, never had room to leave them out.

I love this idea of the jigsaw puzzles! Kinda makes me want to get one... hahaha I mean, besides the one I`m working on :lol: :lol: He is going crazy for the pressed turkey breast meat! and with the platinum performance every day he will be getting sort of complete nutrition at least.

Wow - I just read yesterday's condo - what a ride. And I learned a lot too from the tempting foods and Sienne's quoting Cheryl. Good stuff. Congrats on the reducie!

I agree with the honey - a drop boosts Leo 10 points in 20 minutes but it's worn off in 40. So he ends up getting 2-3 mini-meals with drops sometimes while the HC/MC starts working. Boy, ECID dealing with low numbers. I'm kinda figuring out his pattern. But of course then he'll change :lol:

Good luck getting script and meds from the vet.

Hi Alexa, Jane is right, Senor Reuben Rey is the Drama Meezer! :-D Glad to see he enjoying some green numbers with less excitement today. Good learning on the honey too, a little goes a long way and it wears off quickly. I wonder if something like a bit of ice cream would raise up him fast and maybe also be a bit longer acting? Just a thought, really hope you dont need to jolt him up anytime soon. Have a great evening!

Looks like I missed some action here today.
Wow Rueben, you never miss a moment to surprise us.
Sure is nice to see him playing the blues tonite.
