Morning ~O) ~O) Maggie had the zoomies again this morning, running from the bedroom to living room, jumping up onto the top of the sofa and then onto the very top of my Lazy boy chair. I love to see her with this energy level. She's starting on a nice AMPS, too! After a Beechnut bf treat and two mini breffifs, she's asleep on a new blanket I bought her. I buy these little soft throws at Big Lots for $3.00, and as soon as I start unfolding and placing it wherever, Maggie lays down in it. She loves these soft little blankets. Hope all have a nice Friday. Vines and snowflakes for all kitties not feeling well today.

Good morning Ann! It's interesting about the blankets....I just picked up a couple on line somewhere and both my cats are drawn to them like magnets. As soon as they come near, they revert back to kittens and start kneading and it almost looks like sucking on the edge of the blanket like they would on their mother....You know how we rinse, lather, repeat....well they knead, purr, suck! (must be all about the 3's :-D ). My other cat Poe literally stands there doing this for what seems like hours!

This is my vision of Maggie this morning! Good thing you wake up early or you'd miss out on all the fun ;-) ;-)

Is it the 3.00 fleece ones?? sounds like the same ones I bought for kitten boxes when I have kittens and great WCR this morning I also love it when cats are zooming Do Lou does not zoom but he does play from time to time :mrgreen:

Hi Jessica, thanks for the cute pic - that's Maggie with the kneading. I kust love to see her do her thing. She doesn't do the sucking, but my GA kitty used to do the sucking on a blanket or piece of clothing. He did it clear thru the age of 16 intil he crossed the Bridge; I guess he was weaned too early from his mother.

Hi Lisa, yes, those are the ones with the fleece, nice and warm. I have about five of them placed in different areas of the apartment.

Hi guys .. this condo today brought a smile to my face .. love hearing about maggie and her zooming through your place .. We bought blankets for our girls last Christmas, at the pet smart .. they are neon green, with blue edges that have neon green moons around it .. they glow in the dark .. :-D .. Twix loves hers, but mocha chews and chews at the moons .. she does not like them very much :lol: have a great weekend guys!

Nice surf today, Maggie. She seems to have settled down. We have lots of throws around, for us! But spread one out on your lap and suddenly there is a cat in it! :lol:

I'm going to have to pick some up. The dollar store has fleece blankets but I wonder if they are similar to big lots. They are small like 3x3 - are yours bigger or smaller.

I love reading about cats and the zoomies. None of mine do this and Maverick never did that I remember. I wonder if its because of the hardwood that they don't.

Hi Karrie, yes these blankets are larger than 3 x 3, as I have to fold them for her. They are a nice size and worth $3.00/. That's interesting about the hardwood floor and the zoomies. I have wall to wall carpet in the living and bedrooms. With Maggie's Manx tail her running is so cute, almost like a bunny rabbit.

Hi Ann & Tess, that's for sure with the blanket on the lap and all of a sudden a kitty on lap! :lol:

Hi Devon, those neon green blankets with neon green moons that glow in the dark sound neat. It's an idea for presents for pets for the holidays.

Zoomies are always fun....especially in the morning! Very nice cycle for Miss Maggie.....the blankets sound very comfy....Zoe has a thing for paper......newspaper, cardboard, any kind of paper....she doesn't like soft and fuzzy, she likes crinkly. :roll: :mrgreen:

Nice blue surf for Maggie today. I wish I had a cute blanket story but mine is x-rated. Simon loves blankets but the problem is that instead of cute kneading, he starts humping the blanket (I hope I can say this on the forum!). He was neutered as a kitten so I don't know why he is behaving like this. Embarassing when friends and family are over!

:lol: :lol: I don't know either why Simon would hump the blanket. I think they still have those feelings even after being neutered. When they do the sucking thing, it's when they have been weaned too early from their Mommy.

I gave Maggie a vacation day from pokes - only three today. I knew she was going to remain flat, so why not save her ear today. To be honest, I don't think I had enough drops in her am dose, so that helped, too, with the vacation.

That is TOO funny about Simon!!! GA Max used to hump all kinds of things too....mostly Gus :shock: :? :?
