So I accidentally increased Heart's dose by 0.25 too much. Went to 2.5 instead of 2.25 (never do dosing after arguing on the phone with your boyfriend, after which you're distracted). I then decided to hold that and see what happens, since in the past he was up at 3.5 units, and might this time have to go up as far. After just shooting a 32 at +5, I realized this isn't good..

So the question is I have to go to an all-day retreat today, so I won't be able to come home at lunch to check on him. Should I go to the 2.25, or go to 2.0 to be safe?

Good advice. ;-)

There's no problem going back to 2.0, in my opinion. That dose gave you some green numbers after a couple of days. You can get back on track tomorrow night.

You done "this" before, right? Fed the lows to bring up the numbers? What did you feed on the 32. And how much time between that food and the 38?

I gave some of his regular food, but then brought out the temptations and the wellness core dry food to bring it up higher. 1.5 hours later we're at 67

He's been getting really nice numbers. I went back on my dose inrease, but wonder if it's still too much.... Can't really monitor during the day

hi sophia,

i read through sienne, carl and marje's responses from yesterday. i think the gist of what they're saying is that changing doses often can result in wonky numbers. once you've changed a dose, you want to hold it to let it settle in unless you see low numbers.

i think if i were you, i'd make sure and get another test tonight at +4 (and maybe more) and try to catch the nadir.
