We started Gandalf on pro- and prebiotics this morning to help with his upset tummy, but he is already being himself again. Today he has not been drinking excessive amounts of water either.

So, big drop today! We were half expecting him to drop a bit tonight because he has been doing nothing but mischief all afternoon. Were not expecting a drop like this, yaay! Seeing these numbers makes us wonder what happened during the last hours of the 10/5 AM cycle since he gave us that huge 22.2 mmol/l reading early in the following PM cycle. On Prozinc, we would defenitely have interpreted that as a bounce since he rarely was over 18 mmol/l, except when bouncing. Suspect he will be high at AMPS, or still rising. We decided to steer with low-carb wet food because it is the middle of the night here and he was still dropping at +7. He is due for his next shot in 4 hours, luckily we are two so one of us can get some sleep... :p We don't know if he would have dropped into greens or not. We are still early into the Lantus switch and have not yet been able to pinpoint his onset or nadir (a +2 or +3 this PM cycle would have been nice :banghead:) .

This dose is defenitely doing something and we are thinking that we will hold it for now, unless he is earning a reduction. We will try and get more testing early and late in the cycles to see what is going on and maybe do a proper curve if we suspect he will be dropping again. What do you think? :)

Just did a +8, 6.7 mmol/l that is not a satisfactory rise for me so I guess I'll stay up a bit longer. Why is it always the nightcycles? o_O
