10/7 Fur Ball BG 64 - 1 year OTJ!!!

Hi all.

I thought it would be fitting to post a condo in celebration of Fur Ball's 1 year OTJ!!!! (which also happens to coincide with DH's b-day). It has been wonderful getting a reprieve from the daily testing and shots and his numbers continue to look great. In spite of the dental fiasco earlier this year and the nasty BGs spikes, Fur Ball has been doing pretty good. He gained a bit of weight through the laziness of the summer heat so has been on a diet for about 1 month and has regained more playfulness and enjoy-ability in life. He's lost a couple ounces. However, we opened a new bag of food this weekend and he seems to be a bit off on his eating habits; just not the same appetite. We are debating whether we need to schedule a vetty appt. But if he continues to seem off we will need to get him checked out.

I lurk around and check on kitties and beans as I'm able. Wishing everyone well!! Thanks again to FDMB for giving us the advice, support, encouragement and love that resulted in our Fur Ball going OTJ.

Fur Ball's first annifursary OTJ!! Congrats!! Maybe he doesn't like that new food? Anyway, so glad to hear that he is happy and enjoying life at the Falls.

Congratulations on the Anniversary!!! It does seem hard to believe it was already a year. It's good to get a Fur Ball report. :-D :-D

Eat your fuddies Fur Ball. I wonder if he wants a different flavor. I rotate 4 different proteins and that seems to keep the crew interested.

It's wonderful to hear how well Fur Ball is doing. I hope his eating being off is just being picky about the new food.

Hi Karen - it is so great to hear from you. Awesome too on Fur Ball. Has it really been a year? It seems just like yesterday that we were celebrating his move to the Falls. I will hope all continues to be well for him.

Thanks to everyone for visiting and celebrating with us. It is still hard for me to believe that it has been one year.

Fur Ball threw up the other day. I really think he doesn't like the new bag of raw food I opened. I put down a can of food today and he snarfed it up. I can't get to the pet store until Friday so I guess we will have to 'limp' along using some of the raw mixed with the can of food. I only have 2 cans left as we only feed him the raw food. Oh well. He continues to be so playful and seems to be overall enjoying life at the falls. It is really nice to not have toooo much of a high-maintenance furbaby when it comes to food. I think of so many others who struggle with eating and it makes me grateful.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday and thinking of all those needing healing and prayers. Need to get back to work. :smile:

Sorry to be late in congratulating you and Fur Ball, Karen! What an exciting anniversary! I can't believe it's been a year already but we wish FB decades more of OTJ anniversaries! And hope he settles down with the new raw.
