Yesterday's We Don't Need No Stinkin' Sleep Condo

Looks like we made it home last night just in time for the show! I really don't mind staying up late with Cinco normally - I'm a true night owl, after all. I just wish he wouldn't pick a night when I have to get up "early" (for me) the next morning! @-) @-) I'm not a coffee drinker, especially when it's hot (I loathe iced coffee drinks, too), but I thought about it this morning! At least we were in good company, with Emily & Shylo and John & Tess also having PJ parties!

I was very proud of myself for plunking Cinco down in the lb before putting him in the carrier - he was confused for a few minutes (he had been sound asleep when I picked him up), but then he very obligingly peed! Yay! No carrier cleaning for me today! :-D The sutures were removed and the OV's tech said all was well. We can stop the AB :-D , but there is a little skin irritation at the incision site - very common, she said - so we should probably keep the collar on a couple more days to let it subside. I can try taking it off if we're there to watch him. I don't think I will, though. He's used to it, and it's a pretty tight fit - he has a big head, so it's not easy to get it on and off. We'll just leave it be another couple of days and then have the grand unveiling! I'm just excited that for the first time in forever we have NO meds to give him besides his insulin!!!!! :-D :-D :-D

I did not give Sasha any Ondansetron this morning and she ate 95% of her breakfast, albeit with some plate chasing and a healthy dose of kitty crack. A few minutes ago my DH hollered down the stairs that maybe I should take her some food, as she was licking the empty plate! :-D Of course I ran right up and gave her a heaping tablespoon, which she polished off without any FF!!! :-D Woo hoo! Maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket!

Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Prayers going out to Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Elise's DM and Wendy's DM. Lots of healing and vetty vines and prayers to Zener, and hugs to Anne & Liz. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 10/7 Cinco AMPS 217 +3 145 +6 137 Sutures Out!

Woo hoo! What a great report! I don't blame you for leaving the cone on since he's used to it.

Thanks for the early morning/late night visit to Furball's condo. I hope you got a little bit of sleep.

Re: 10/7 Cinco AMPS 217 +3 145 +6 137 Sutures Out!

    YAY! for the suture's out and no more ABs! WOOT!!!!! I hope you got to go BTB when you got home.

Re: 10/7 Cinco AMPS 217 +3 145 +6 137 Sutures Out!

What a wonderful condo today....no eye drops, no sutures, no ABs, successful pee-on-demand, a hungry Sasha, and only a few more days of cone!!! WaHOOOOOOO!!!

Re: 10/7 Cinco AMPS 217 +3 145 +6 137 Sutures Out!

It certainly was a great night for a PJ party! :P

Very excited for Cinco, coming off meds and getting stitches out is totally something to celebrate!

Re: 10/7 Cinco AMPS 217 +3 145 +6 137 Sutures Out!

Way to go, Cinco! I knew you could do it! Now you just got to get rid of that silly cone....of course your TV reception will probably be pretty lousy without it~ China

YEAH for great news!!

What are you going to do with all the time you're saving not having to give all those meds? I'm sure you'll find something to keep you occupied....LOL

Even more great news on Sasha's good appetite!

I'm not a fan of coffee either...and if I HAVE to drink it because I was up all night and have to drive, I'm not drinking it cold either! YUCK!

Sounds like it's been a good day in the Fuzzy Feet's household :-D

Re: 10/7 Cinco AMPS 217 +3 145 +6 137 Sutures Out!

I'm not a coffee drinker,

What in the world is wrong with you? Coffee is the solution to all of the world's problems. ;-)

So glad the suture removal went well, and I'm excited for the condo report in which the cone comes off for good. :-D

Re: 10/7 Cinco PMPS 224

Thanks for visiting, everyone.

My brain is fuzzy right now and my eyes full of tears as I just read the news about our dear Zener. My heart is breaking for Anne, Liz and Tillie. I'm so glad he waited for Anne to get home. A gentleman to the end. Many prayers and hugs are headed to Northern AZ right now from Northern CA. :YMHUG:

We tried a new flavor tonight - Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain. It has gravy, but I get 2% on the carb calculator. Not sure I'm doing it right. It was well received, but I probably won't add it to the regular line up. My crowd really prefers pate. Sasha required more plate chasing and lots of kitty crack, but she cleaned her plate.

Everyone hug your kitties tonight and be grateful for the time we have with them. I know I am. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 10/7 Cinco PMPS 224

I hear you, my eyes are sore from crying.....I have not done anything I was planning on getting done tonight, instead, I spent the entire night snugglin with my Skooterbear....until he got sick and tired of me keeping him snugglin with me....he lasted almost 90 minutes......

I am glad that Cinco got his sutures out and hopefully the cone will soon follow....

Re: 10/7 Cinco PMPS 224 +3.5 85 +5 64

Well darn, Chris. I'm obviously doing it wrong! What calculator do you use? I used this one.

Looks like Cinco decided to have a dip in the lagoon tonight. Interesting, since he got the Rocky Mountain for dinner and his +3.5 snack - guess he really isn't that carb sensitive. Or, what might he have gotten down to if I'd fed him the usual 2-6 %? :o I just gave him some more at +5. We'll see where it takes him....
